I have been silent for a while as I was just waiting for my husband’s interview which is today. You know what?! We are put as AP!!! The first sentence that the CO talked to my husband was “I will not approve your visa today”. I can’t imagine how shocked my husband was when he heard this.

 

The reason is the CO thinks I have not enough proofs of US domicile. He said this IR-1 is for family reunion but I have already stayed with my husband in his home country for 10 years. The CO needs us to submit more proofs that I will move back to the US.

 

Here are the proofs of my US domicile that we have submitted in the NVC stage and to the CO:

 

1. US driver license with my US residental address

2. US credit card statement (I have been actively used)

3. US savings bank statement (I have put money in it regularly)

4. Active voter registration

5. Quotation from shipping company for moving

6. One way flight quotation from travel agent

7. Job resignation letter of my husband

8. Tax return 1040 of past 5 years

9. Tax transcripts of past 3 years

 

Now we are trying to gather as much proofs as possible. I need you VJ members to help for brainstorming. Here are some proofs I can think of:

 

1. Letter from my parents and brother stating we will live with them.

2. Since we will live in my parents’ house, can we make a lease agreement with my parents?

3. Add my name on the utility bills of my parents’ house.

4. Add my name on the car insurance of my dad.

5. Online register my son to preschool

6. Buy one way flight ticket for my son and myself

 

I don’t want to move back without my husband so I hope to find some proofs that I can get ASAP.

I didn't want to either with two kids but here I am..  good luck. Proving domicile they can be extremely picky about that.

You need to call if you can't get through that way you make an appointment to see them if that does not work go through your Senators office. Good luck.

Your causing yourself more stress. The way it told to me the embassy puts aside dates they give to NVC. So those days are listed as unavailable also immigrant visa dates are not the same available dates for other type visa. I'm not 💯 sure but that's what I was told.  your IL will come

I am about as frustrated as a crackhead without a lighter... It is not NVC . It is the embassy.  You just have to wait.. It sucks we all know it.  Im always confused why K1 visa are faster then those of us you are already married. But thats the governement for you.. Hurry up and wait...  mostly waiting .

Contact the embassy . Give the case number. Birthdays. Pentioner and beneficiary names.. hopefully you'll get answers

Portals on here. Go to your countries portal they should have your consulates information under it. 

I'm not sure if anyone is aware of this but you can actually go o. Portals look up.your countries embassy and get estimated wait times. The friend that told me the embassy in Ankara usually takes two months is correct.. as I looked it up. It actually can take three but to contact them after 2months.

im emailing mine. with the case number and the question on why its taking so long.... 

30-60 days is the usually wait time for an interview in the IR1/CR1 CATAGORY.  If your wait as been longer then that I suggest not calling NVC but directly contact the embassy. I'm only repeating information that was passed on to me by someone who works in an embassy. Calling NVC really does nothing.

Paystubs will work.. bank  account showing direct deposits. She should be able to go to her work and ask for a copy of her paysubs

Just got off the phone with NVC. HERS WHAT WAS said... 

Im just having a complete breakdown right now.. bawling my eyes out since early this morning.  I think with all the stress of immigration and a good friend of the family passing away at age 41 from lung cancer .. I'm a mess today.. it makes you think about your own family. He was diagnosed 6 months ago and now is gone. Please God in heaven bring my kids daddy home. We are not promised tomorrow that's is one thing I know.. and for him to pass away leaving to little kids makes me want my husband here even more. Sorry for the rant.   Just emotionally drained.

It kind of hurt my feelings . You would think I will be used to the wait by now . This case started in May 2018 however I feel disappointed everytime 

I honestly think they want to get you on and off I waited for 40 minutes and the guy said Im transferring you over to someone else. I didn't get answer as to why . He just did it. Sat on the phone for another 49 min.. just to hear the answer I don't know. Gee thanks.. 

I was checking out the portals. I didn't see one Interview appointment for July yet. Nothing.. all June that I can see..
