  1. Hello, everyone!

Just wanted to share an update: I filed online Oct 9, 2023 and got the notification for interview on Feb 4, 2024 (2 days ago) that I was scheduled for next month, Mar 19. I am in the Charlotte Field Office. I hope that was helpful for those who are still waiting-- there doesn't seem to be a precise order so let's hold on to hope they get to you soon! :)

Hello! As far as the case status, there is no change, it still says "Interview Was Scheduled".  I had to call several times to ensure the interview was rescheduled and that we won't be tagged as "no-shows".  I added the extra measure of writing to them and I got a reply back via email to say they will look to reschedule within the next 90 days or so.

I hope that helps!  I will let you know once I receive another schedule for interview, thanks!

Hello everyone! I hope you guys have had a good Thanksgiving weekend!  Just wanted to update you all that our interview was rescheduled for today in Charlotte and we got the notice almost immediately after the interview (about 20 mins) that the "New card is being produced".  It went pretty smoothly from cancelling the first appointment to having it rescheduled... I did the EAD/AP renewals and got the NOA1s for those as well but I don't think we are going to need them.  Thank you all for sharing your experiences and knowledge... I hope to keep in touch all the way to removal of conditions, which would be our next step in 2 years.   Hoping to receive the card soon-- what has been the time frame recently?  Thanks y'all!

  4. Hello, everyone!

Our AOS Interview is scheduled for tomorrow, Oct 8th-- after months and months of painstaking wait, we were thrilled and were looking forward to do the interview.  My husband, unfortunately, was admitted to the hospital on Saturday because of a Crohn's episode and we will miss the interview tomorrow.  I had called in to reschedule and was given a confirmation number for the request, which will take 30 days to process.

Anyone here who can provide guidance/experience on rescheduled appointments?  I know this pushed us back so many weeks but would be good to have an idea.  It might also be a good time to file for renewal of EAD since it expires in January.  Sorry to be a downer but I really need support and I feel others just don't understand our frustration.

Thanks in advance to whoever will reply!

Just filed to renew my EAD and AP cards yesterday via USPS Priority Mail Express 1-Day, since I'm not expecting much news on the GC interview any time soon...

Hello!  Isn't there an automatic extension of EAD and AP for pending AOS Applicants?  My EAD expiry is Jan 2021... should I be looking into renewing mine at this point?  TIA for those who will give their input!

A question to the folk who have already received their EAD's...

How long did it take for you to receive your EAD card after your case switched to "card is being produced"? Also, if you asked to be given an SSN alongside of it, did that arrive at the same time or did that arrive later?

To anyone who answers this, thank you very much in advance ^_^!

After a week exactly, and I received the NOA2s for both i-765 and I-131 along with the EAD/AP combo card.  I also received the SSN card at the same time.

    Update:

I-131 "Case was Approved" (today Jan 24)

So it is indeed possible to receive the EAD/AP card ahead of the I-485 approval, right?

Good luck to all of us!!!

So it turns out it is possible!  I just received the EAD/AP Combo Card today, along with the Social Security Card... no word on the scheduling of the interview, though-- Charlotte, NC office.  Anyone here from the Queen City too? Just so glad there are a bunch of stuff I can now accomplish with having those documents!  God bless us all!

Mine took exactly a month to change to "ready to schedule". From my own observations of other poeple's timelines, it usually takes 25-30 days for it to change to "ready to schedule" after the biometrics. And two days after that mine changed to " interview was scheduled". I got the interview notice in the mail 5 days later which was last monday.

My status was just changed to "ready to schedule..." today... excited to hear news on the next step!

We're about to file our forms and have a few questions:

    • We only need to include 1 copy of marriage certificate, and that's with the I-485 packet right? Is it OK to include in the other 2 packets?
    • Do we put all the papers loose but in order, or should they be clipped or stapled in anyway?
    • Is a name, signature, and A# or anything needed on additional pages that we have (such as on tax transcripts, I-94 records, etc.)?

Thanks for the help everyone :)

    Hi, Usaph!

I believe you need to include copies of the marriage certificate in each application.  I was told by a friend who went through the AOS process that different offices (desks, at at the very least) process each one.

In the USCIS website, they prefer the documents to not be clipped or stapled.  They prefer them to be hole-punched, check their site out.

Not sure how to answer the last point, maybe someone here can help?

    Thanks!

I guess there is nothing to worry if you all filed within of 90 days authorized stay

Yeah that was unexpected)) we were still sleeping at 8 in the morning😂

I wrote about it here if anyone is interested

I read some horror stories offered by some of the posters in the forum you created.  If one is considered out of status after the 90-day period, and the NOA1 is yet to come, how can you show proof that you have filed?  I am asking because my I-94 expires on Sunday and I am still waiting for an NOA1 for the AOS.
