I asked this question yesterday but didn’t get any real solid answers... so I’m filing my husbands AOS. I already have my I-864 done and completed including tax transcripts and W2s. However, I’m using my dad as a joint sponsor. He included his W2 and tax papers from last year. His individual income is 35,500 without my mom. When adding up his household size, it comes out to 3 because of sponsoring my husband and himself and my mom. However, my parents joint income together is 58,000. Which is what i put for total household income. Because i included this number, does my mom have to fill out an i-864 too? Or is just my dads enough? On the part where it says to include any income we are using from any other person who was counted, i left that blank because my mom was counted in household size but we are not using her income. I’m just confused about how to go about this part 🤯🤯

So I’m filing for my husbands adjustment of status and I’m using my dad as a sponsor. He gave me his W2 and 1040. He filed jointly with my mom. I’m not sure how to fill out part 5 of the I-864 if i only want to use my dad as a sponsor, even though he filed jointly with my mom. It asks for his current individual annual income, then his household income. But then there is a box that it has to check saying all people included in household income have filled out I-864. I just really don’t want to have to fill out a whole extra affidavit for my mom too and then ask her to get all her W2’s so is there a way to fill this out and just use my dad?? Thank you!

I’ve been there and read that and i understand the proxy situation, what I’m concerned about is can someone go get the copy and scan it to me and can i print it or will that not be accepted by USCIS?

Hi, can you tell me how you went about getting the copy of the folio birth certificate? I can ask someone to go get it for my husband in Tegucigalpa but the issue is then getting the copy here to the states? Did they email you the copy or scan it to you? Thank you!

Hi, I’m not sure if this is the right forum but i need help 😩 so my husband and i are doing his AOS and they sent an RFIE staring that the birth certificate we gave was not correct and that we need to send in the “copia de folio de libel de nacimientos” which is the long form birth certificate. I’m not sure what to do or how to go about obtaining this now? Is there some way i can obtain it online or do this electronically so as to save money? Also the Honduran mail service has been unreliable and don’t want to risk waiting months for them to mail a birth certificate here 😩 I’m just at a total loss and don’t know what to do

Each embassy is different. Check with the embassy delivery service. But wait till it states issued.
It changed to issued this past Thursday but still showing at embassy. Just didn’t know how accurate the “track my passport” was.

I agree with Jeffo.........that should be absolutely fine for immigration, and a good overall plan. As long as the airline runs on schedule, should be no problem.
The worst that would happen is that he may be delayed, but very very unlikely with a 5 1/2 hour layover. Most likely, he will just be bored. 🤩
Thank you, @DanielPlainview @Greenbaum! Do either of you guys know how long after our status being changed to issued it will ship out? It changed to issued on Thursday but when i do track my passport it still shows “still with embassy”

5 hours should be enough time.
by the time he gets off the plane and gets to immigration poe, it would only like, noon, or just after noon. boarding to chicago wouldnt start until after 4pm. so, 3-4 hours to get though immigration should be enough.
That’s what i was thinking but of course I’ve seen some horror stories on here 😅 thank you!

@Greenbaum @DanielPlainview Can either of you guys (or anyone else) give me some advice on Miami POE for my fiancé? He is flying into Miami and his flight arrives at 11:30 AM and his next flight leaves for Chicago at 4:58 PM. Will this be a safe enough layover for immigration?

It was so fast too!
Yes! He said she just asked him how we met, how long we’ve been a couple, and how he felt about me being divorced in the past and then said congrats it’s approved! I’m so relieved and he’s just so chill about it right now 😂

I had the same thing two weeks before I went to the Philippines last time!!! It went away after a day there. It was from grinding my teeth at night and did not know. Stress!!! We all need to quit stressing so much lol.
But yes tooth pain is no joke and is really painful...
Yes i swear, my shoulders and back are so tense and sore probably from stressing 😂😂

Me too it was supposed to be today but turns out it was moved because it's a holiday and they forgot to gray out that day. I told my fiance I'm in mourning for the interview we almost had... and he proceeded to laugh 😪 lol Meh I'm a drama queen 😄
In all honesty, though, things happen for a reason. As much as I hate the words that are coming out of my fingers at this very second, it was actually a good thing it got moved. He's been having this tooth pain for a few weeks now and last week it got really bad and he ended up going to the dentist. He hasn't been able to figure out what's causing the pain but he's on antibiotics and they are doing a root canal and removing his molars etc so he's been in bed and pumped with meds. It would not have been a pleasant sight if he had been to the interview today. He still has at least one more appt with the dentist this week so he should be in tip top shape for his interview on the 5th. 🤞
Okay totally weird my fiancé was having major tooth pain last week and he went to the dentist and they said their drill didn’t work right so they just pulled one! Third world dentistry i guess 😩🙃 but yes everything happens for a reason! How soon after approval will your fiancé be flying out??
