We came from Canada and lasted not even 3 days in the school system here. I ended up Homeschooling 4 kids from grades 6-12. We found the AP classes were very lacking and honestly I don't know how some of the kids in them were even in them. Since she will be away from her mom even if she stayed home for high school it would be an adjustment either way. If she can transition to a US high school it would help with making friends. That can be a good and bad thing Check out the local high school reviews online where she would go if she came to the US. Trust the reviews they are there for a reason.

Another option is to go to your local health unit for your next dose of HepB and then ask them to transcribe your vaccination history from the DS-3025 and give you a copy. If you already have a doctor they can do this too. We did this for my kids for college so they would have a US style record.

Other than wanting to wait out the contract because she feels obligated too. Is there really any benefit to wait it out? As a mother all my instincts are telling me sending the daughter early is a bad move. How much time have you all spent together?

Yikes, that is a long contract to wait out. How old is the daughter? 5 yrs without her mother would be hard. I would wait out closer to the contract ending.

I completely agree with Crazy Cat. This lawyer does not fully understand what you are dealing with and does not have in your best interest in his plans. He obviously does not know about VAWA, she has a coach and knows more than you are giving her credit for. Every time you meet gives her the opportunity to make a seen and have a ton of witnesses.

As mentioned by the other members. You need to both get on that plane and get home. The GC is still valid, do not go the SB1 route.

How long is your wife's contract for? The time it takes to petition your wife and daughter her contract may be up.
