  1. Honestly good teachers are no longer able to do what they do best. Schools period suck now days. Teachers don't have the time or ability to do what they used to do. If you're in a bad area the teachers spend more time redirecting kids then they do teaching. Gifted kids will always excel, they can figure things out on there own. Kids who need help suffer more and more and never truly get the help they need. You're lucky if your kids gets properly tested and intervention, and even luckier if they actually if the teachers follow that intervention. (Yes I know by law they have to follow the IEP's, doesn't mean they will) If your district has school choice you will have to find out the deadlines to submit the request for a certain school. Sadly midyear you may not get a choice.
  2. This thread is for Montreal only. You need to ask these questions in the proper Country Specific forum. Any answers from members in this thread will not match up for you.
  3. ~~Moved to SSN, from AOS K1/K3 P&P- the OP is asking about the SSC.~~
  4. All you can do is try. Personally 10 months is not short notice, but I'm not the one making the decisions.
  5. Looks good, I was never on the house or bills. WE did however have plenty of medical bills with the kids and myself on his insurance. Showing paid from a joint account. We also included vet bills, junk mail.
  6. Just looked over the forms again. Those are ideas you can use to help with proof of payments. Basically if you're on good terms they will take a letter from the ex to help with proof. In your case your EX is not willing so your best forms of proof are you records of payments.
  7. I don't remember ever seeing the requirement to have a notarized letter from an Ex. Trying to get an Ex to sign something would be like getting blood from a stone. I sure the heck would not help my ex with anything, not one single thing ever. USCIS knows full well how ugly things can get no way would that be a requirement. What you do need is proof you have been paying child support. So if you have the court order showing the amount and proof that you are making those payments that is what you need. Nothing from her at all. I'm off to go look at the forms to see, incase I just put my foot in my mouth
  8. I'm so glad you were able to get some good news out of the hospital.

  14. This would be something that only @Captain Ewok may be able to help with. It's a long shot but have you checked your browser for the saved passwords on that device?
  15. I understand that you are confused, but you followed the right protocol to withdraw the visa. Once they get that withdrawal request, there is nothing more to do. You can't undo it either. Plus because your Father was placed in AP they probably need to reach out to another department. That can take time.
  16. ~~Moved to Tourist Visa, from What Visa DO I Need- The OP and father withdrew the visa application after interview and AP. Now seeking a tourist visa.~~
  17. ~~Moved to the CRBA forum, from IR1/CR1 P&P- as the topic is about CRBA appointments.~~
  18. ~~Moved to AOS Family K1/K3 P&P, from Moving Here and Your New Life- as the OP is asking more AOS related questions.~~ Mod Hat off Regarding the name changes, the marriage certificate is what allows your wife to take your name. Sadly your Step Daughter cannot do the same. It requires a court order for name changes. Now I'll let you know about my friend's experience. They never legally changed their kids names, but they did use the "new names" on everything for schools and doctors. They all had the name listed in the files but had a sections on the forms saying goes by (insert name).
  19. Do you have the SSN in hand now? If not they probably will just get confused and tell you do not qualify for one. If you have the SS card it's easier to wait until GC or EAD issued in married name to update SS. Banks and what not should be able to go ahead with using married names with your marriage certificate.
  20. ~~Moved to IR1/CR1 P&P, from Brining Family of USC - as the spousal visa along with IR2.CR2's are discussed here.~~
  21. ~~Moved to IR1/CR1 P&P, from Bringing Family of USC- as spousal visa processing questions are discussed here.~~
  22. This is frustrating. Email Montreal if you haven't and use the words Urgent eMedical help is needed in the subject line. This helps the mail room direct your email to the right person. Then go on to explain what you need them to do and why.
  23. ~~Moved to ROC from Bringing Family of PR- The OP received the 10 GC in error and now has realized the missed step and needs to start ROC.~~
