Processing time for Denver office is 10.5 months to 39.5 months, where can you see 20.5 months to 39.5 months?
My guess is that it fluctuated at some point. I know the Chicago office was fluctuating like crazy at one point so I stopped checking it.

Even when they sent the birth cert in the package?
Yes, it seems to be a confusing and common RFE with AOS lately.

Ok. Sounds about right. Means the case must still be at NBC before they send it to my local office Los Angeles... I’m soooo upset. There isn’t anything we left out that we didn’t give to the lawyers. Perhaps they forgot to add something in. I hope it’s for something easy.
There's a high chance it's for a birth certificate and that nothing was left out. This happened to a lot of people. I hope you get it in the mail soon!

Congratulations everyone!

Same here, I went from a high paying corporate job, working at least 50 hours a week to stay at home and watch tv until exhaustion. I could go out but costs money, it’s hot out there and I don’t know my way around at all on public transport in this city. I’m thankful for being with my husband after 3 years but I’m honestly feeling desperate to “restart” my life.
I feel this, I don't really feel like I'm living 'my' life right now. I miss my life. I hope it all gets better for everyone soon.

Today I woke up and found that my interview was scheduled. Being in Chicago with the long wait times, I decided I would just sit back, relax, wait and not get stressed over it, but wow, it happened so early. This is so helpful, my mum got incredibly ill a month after I got to the US, I can't wait to fly back to Australia and spend some time with her.

Hey guys, so i have a question , does everybody need to have an interview to get his green card? Adjusting through k1 visa
Yes, everyone has to have an interview. Years ago people were getting their green cards without having to do the interview, this is not the case anymore.

I don't know about you, but not everyone has the financial means to be able to travel and go explore
I'd love to go and do things on my own, but my husband is our only source of income, we live in Seattle and it's very, very expensive. (We're paying 1.5k$ a month for a studio) I didn't choose to be in such an expensive area, and honestly I wanna move out to another state because this is very stressful and I can't even work yet.
Even though most of us do have hobbies, I think it comes down to the routine of having a job, a social life because of said job, and being out and about because you feel like you're actually doing something and contributing to society.
We can only do so much volunteering, and spending time on our hobbies before it gets old real fast... Especially when you've been used to being completely independent financially for so long and have to rely solely on someone else to get by.
I'm not being mean by any means, but everyone experiences things differently! Everyone has their own struggles and there's more than one way to deal with it than one blanket solution
I know just how you feel. I was in a GIANT rut, feeling awful and lonely. Today is the first day for me that things have really begun to look up, because I finally found somewhere I belong. I hope that all of you find this soon too (and you will) but it takes so much time.

This is a DIY website so a lot of people will tell you that doing the reading and putting together the application yourself will be worth it because you will save money and will be in control of your application. Personally I preferred to do the reading instead of paying someone, but each to their own. You've already paid them and started the process so there's no turning back. Good luck.

So I just received my full birth certificate but stupidly only ordered 1. Can I send a copy and take the original to the interview or do I have to send the original?
Thank you
Yes they only need a copy unless they specifically stated 'original'.

hi everyone,
so my wife got a rfe for her i485 saying they didnt get her birth certificate, but we submitted it with the form. how is that possible?
Was it a full form birth certificate and was it translated? If so, submit the same one again. If not, you will have to seek the full certificate and translation for submission.

We said severe financial hardship - and he does an offer letter on company letterhead with a required start date.
Update: My husband called and spoke to a Tier 2 Supervisor (after 30 minutes on hold and another hour wait for them to call back... but they did call and were very nice). The supervisor indicated that there was little information on his request so they flat out denied it. He explained our financial hardship to the supervisor and mentioned that he does have a job offer, offer letter and invoices/information on our financial situation (evidence!!). So the Supervisor said he was going to put our request back in the funnel?? And we should hear back on or before September 10.
Praying for a good outcome, we really need my husband to start working!
I will keep you posted.
That's great news.

Hi everyone!
I've been lurking for a bit, might as well share my timeline as well!
Sent AOS along with EAD petitions on June 27th. NOA 1 is July 1st, had biometrics on August 1st at the Seattle office. Now comes the long wait!
I originally came to the US on a K-1 Visa, hopefully karma will be a bit more on my side this time around!
(My I-129F took an extremely long time to get approved without any RFEs, so I'm crossing my fingers for this one!)
I have a question! If my husband were to move to another state while waiting for the green card, will my case be moved to the corresponding office of that state? Would it delay my case?
We're thinking about moving to Raleigh, NC in the future so we can be closer to my husband's family, so I don't know if it has any impact on my current procedures.
Thank you and good luck to everyone!
Welcome! The above advice is useful. Also, it shouldn't hold you up, but you'll have to wait the new processing time for the new office, which could be less time than originally. Check it here: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

It's great to hear progress for us June filers!
I received a RFE yesterday which I'm gutted about, but trying to think about the positives that at least they're working on my application
It's great they're looking at your case, congrats! The RFE is going to be quick.

I just got my RFE today for my birth certificate. I didn't realise I needed a long one so I just ordered it from the UK. Does anyone know how long this will set me back?
Congrats to you all with the interviews already scheduled!!
This shouldn't set you back much at all, as long as you respond soon. I don't know how long they take to get through AOS RFE responses, but based on what I've seen on this forum it's not usually long. It's great news that they have been looking at your case.

No need to apologize, there's a lot of information to digest in this process.

What do you mean by combo card?
EAD/AP. Work and travel authorization in one card.

One of VJ members shared this with me before, you can check the backlog of your office. As you can see Fresno (I expect it to be my office) doesn't have a huge backlog. Hope it will be useful for some of you
Nice resource. 13,754 pending in Chicago, rip.
