The estimate times remain 2.5-5 months as of today. I hope this is true 😍

Hi eveyrone... just a small question : could we fill ds-160 online, even if we haven't yet received no news from the NVC? Thanks!
Yes you can, if you don't have a case number just use your receipt number. When I filled mine out I already had my case number, but used my receipt number anyway (on accident, but there were no issues).
Personally I'd just wait until you have a case number at least though, I see a lot of people wait for it.

I hope this AP/EAD estimate is true! I don't really understand the conditions surrounding
AP. I've read numerous differing things about it. How long can I spend out of the country with AP? Would 3 months be too long?

Hello everyone, I just submitted my AOS with 765 and 131. How long can you receive your notice of action? Because I haven't receive mine.
Thanks for your help.
Hi, it can take up to roughly a month.

no as far as I know, I used this translation for my K1 visa and everything went well, so I will trust and send it again.
I misread something that made me think it might be safer using a different one, but you should definitely use the one you have been using the whole time. It is really weird that they issue RFEs to lots of people for the same thing. I read somewhere that people think it might be a quota thing, that the adjudicators are buying themselves more time by issuing RFEs. This isn't a fact, just an idea someone had, which I would consider to be true - I think they wouldn't miss THAT many birth certificates.

Same exact documents, nothing has changed, my birth certificate is the same and the translation as well. I paid 60 dollars for the translation and I have used that agency 4 times for other documents. I don't understand either, it is like they ask again for it to confirm your identity or something.
Is there another US based company you can use just to be safe?

well, i got the RFE, it is the birth certificate that I included in my documents along with a proper english translation signed by a authorized translator... well, here we go, sending the birth certificate again on Monday
I'm happy to hear it wasn't anything major.

Has anyone from June filers (k1-aos) who already receive any notification of ready to interview?
Not that I know of.

Guys just got my biometrics appointment letter and I’m wondering if anyone was lucky to do a walk-in a week earlier than the date of the appointment?
If it matters, Buffalo, NY field office.
Also my notice says that the appointment is scheduled for 3pm but that the time the office closes, because it works 8-3. Is it ok or should I call USCIS about it?
Some people get turned away when they try to do a walk-in but it's worth the risk. I successfully walked in early, most people do. You should give it a go, if they say something about it just raise the concern that you were given an appointment time that doesn't exist. Good luck!

how long does it take before getting interview?
To check your field office processing times see https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Hello group, today I have checked my cases status and the AOS says that USCIS sent an RFE doc yesterday
I really don't understand their logic. Met my husband 20 years ago, we were in contact all these years and dated for a year in 2010 but he was out in Iraq working, two years ago we reunited and decided we were meant to be and yet USCIS always requests more evidence, for both the K1 visa and now the AOS... hope my case doesn't delay too much for this little issue.
I just want to also ensure you too not to worry. This is common.

The above post reminds me, I forgot about my laundry that is sitting in my washing machine, clean. But it's 2:30AM and I'm in bed questioning random things in my mind 🤣 unable to sleep because of acid reflux (why on earth did I have yogurt for dessert, did I really need reflux and dessert?). I don't want to get out if bed but my laundry is guilting me.

I watched Toy Story 3 to refresh my memory. It's a good movie but it honestly is sad! Now just to find the time to watch Toy Story 4.

We did the Biometrics on July 8th and on July 9th we received the message "Fingerprint Review Was Completed". Since then, we have moved and I changed it online and mailed the AR-11..... How do you know if they updated our address, for sure. Do I need to call them?
Wait a few weeks and then call them. The reason I say wait a few weeks is because it can take time for them to get to your case and change the address.

10 days since receiving our noa1 letters, still no biometric mail
As above, definitely no need to stress. You should have your letter within the next 2 weeks or so.

I was totally forgetting about updates in USCIS website after my fingerprint.
My biometrics appointment was on July 3rd and just checked USCIS website and still ‘fingerprint fee was received’.
It’s been 2 weeks now and I’ve seen some people already got their status updated. Should I wait longer or call to somebody?
Personally I wouldn't stress, I've read about some people's just not updating even though it has been reviewed. Give them a call if it will help ease your mind.

Hi everyone, I have a question.. is that possible to fill EAD and AP together after fill Aos? You guys know if has any extra fee for that or special form? Thnks
Yes you can file EAD/AP at no extra cost. Remember to treat them like separate applications in terms of submitting the required documents for each. You might find yourself submitting stuff you've already submitted (e.g. i-94), but that's good (processed at different centers).

Although I'm not from the Netherlands, I do have a suggestion. Think about whether you could afford to live without an income or not, remember that visas have no set timeline and it could take longer for you to receive it in the mail (i.e. can you afford this risk?). Also think about the time spent in the US when you cannot work (up to roughly 7 months after submitting AOS which is also a chunk of $). This is up to you, but definitely think about these things. It's suggested not to quit until you have the visa in hand.

my old aussie shepherd(blue heeler) did ok when moving from a warmer climate. i think the transition from summer to fall to winter helped. the gradual weather change seemed to help her ease in to it.
Thanks for sharing your experience. That works out well because by the time I organize for someone to take my dogs to the vet in Australia to be cleared/travel documents, book their flights, etc, I don't see them being here until towards the end of the summer.

Status changes to “fingerprint review was completed”. Am I right that the next step is either “ready to be scheduled for interview” or RFIE (hope not
)?
I believe so. Now for the wait, and the wait for EAD/AP!

I have read that AP is usually granted for multiple entries into the US. But we are still yet to learn how long we are allowed to be out of the country for. I have read on one site it's up to a year, another site stated to leave as minimally as possible. I can't find an official source.
