Haven't been on the forum for a while, but wanted to update that we sent out our I-751 for removal of conditions!   I hope everyones cases are moving forward!  Good luck!

Our status hasn't changed on the USCIS website yet, still says ready to schedule interview. I guess the paperwork is ahead of the internet!

We chose to go with a visa services company (RapidVisa). They don't get your visa done any faster, but they did ensure that our paperwork and all supporting evidence was correct before sending to the government.  The process is really simple and affordable.  You fill out your forms online, you can edit and correct as needed. After your done, they will review them to see if there are any errors. Once you've got everything right, you will print the forms and add the evidence (pictures, signatures, etc). They have placeholders in the packet so you know where everything goes. You send them the packet, which is reviewed again, then its sent to the government for processing.  Our K1 went through with no RFE's, our AOS is ready to be scheduled for an interview and so far no RFE's as well.  I have a very busy schedule, so RapidVisa was definitely worth it for us.

I couldn't agree more with the underlined statement. When we filed for the visitor visa, the most important part was showing ties in her country (a reason for her to go back). We made no mention of any romantic intentions at the time.  The fear is that once you enter, you won't have a reason to go home and will therefore overstay the visa.

We were married today!  Now the process starts for Adjustment of Status!!!  Good luck to all who are getting ready for your interviews, everything will go well!!

Good News!!!    Received the email and text from the Consulate that DHL will deliver the Visa Wednesday before noon!  Our interview was  March 15th and were placed in Administrative Processing until we could provide the Police clearance.  The consulate received the Clearance on April 5th,  so basically 8 working days to receive visa after all paperwork was in. Flight booked for Thursday!!

Welcome!! I've been low key for a while, but we are finally ready for the consular interview!!  If you don't have your unabridged Birth Certificate, get it going NOW, as well as the police clearance.  Those items seem to be the ones that slow things down.

I half expected the UBC to be the big factor. We're pushing forward and will make it!!!

Thanks for the info!!  Hard to believe what started out as a simple friendship 2 years ago has progressed to this point!  I thought this day would never come, but we're almost at the finish line!!  I wish everyone on this journey the best of luck, and for those just starting out, be patient, it's worth it!

All I asked was if she could interview here, that's it.  For all the folks who are questioning her, we've been together for 2 years. This is her 4th trip to the US, I've been to SA twice. We've been very fortunate to travel and spend as much time together as we have. I was only seeing if it was possible to avoid traveling back and interviewing here... Sheesh...
