295 days and two inquiries later I'm still waiting.

USCIS's lawyer contacted me and the petition is approved.😁

My fiance had his interview at Abu Dhabi embassy and we got approved :). Very happy and excited. I just have one big question is it better if he travels from Abu Dhabi to USA or he can go to Pakistan and travel from there? POE can be Abu Dhabi for both point but just worried that if he goes to Pakistan before traveling to USA there might be issue. Anyone has any idea?

So frustrating,
 after calling 26 times today, i finally got to wait on hold for 23 mins to be told, again, that NVC has not received my case. NOA2 date of 1/30.
 others that have received their nvc#'s for approval dates are fortunate.
congratulations for those who have made the next step.

I suggest you follow the OFFICIAL checklist from the US Embassy, instead of some checklist from YouTube.  payxibka already provided the link.

Got my case number today, they assigned it yesterday but must have called them before it was assigned. Yay. Updating my timeline now...

Ceac update! Our case is finally ready! Interview for March 14! I'm so excited! Wishing for the best for all of you. ❤️

After getting our case number today we have discovered that our case has been assigned to the wrong embassy (Montreal - where we have lived up to now) instead of London (my country of citizenship and where we will be returning to wait out the rest of this process as our lease in Montreal is up). I just called the NVC and was told that as it is still there there is a chance that we can switch embassies. However, she did tell me that Montreal visas get sent out to the embassy pretty quickly and it may get sent before we have time to change it. Does anyone know whether this is true? I am hoping that it's not and they just get sent every two weeks like other visas so we still have a week or so to change it and make the next shipment to London. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. I paid when we got NOA2 and was waiting until the NVC Ready. But the Ready stage has two dates: first, as I understand, when they send a file, the second, when the embassy receives it. There is no chance to schedule or even see open interview dates before the embassy receives the hard copy and lets you use the calendar. If you try to schedule the interview before they have a hard copy, you will simply see a notice on the website saying that your request was accepted, wait until the embassy confirms it. When they get your hard copy they will give you access to the calendar and send you a short message on your mail basically inviting you to schedule.

Got my case number today 😁

I just called NVC about 5mins ago I got my case number—- was waiting since Jan 18

I just checked for the 20th time today through the ceac tracker and it changed to Ready 😁. 

Now our case shows Ready through the ceac tracker. I'm still going to email the embassy to make sure they have our case and we can begin gathering the paperwork.

Are any documents needed for submission to NVC? Read online and talked to NVC representative. Stated that once the visa fee, and ds160 are completed. No other documents must be given to NVC. Trying to stay ahead of the game.
