Ours finally went "IN TRANSIT" from the NVC!
 
For the UK, can we schedule the medical and interview now as we have a case number? Or do we have to wait until it arrives in London?

Many thanks Mekulisch!!    yep, 23 days is the average.   We may blow past that number if USCIS did not even send it yet.  The Tier 1 people said it's not been sent, Tier 2 said it's automatic.   I think all most of us want is the correct information............ok, and maybe a close second is the visa approval.  😁    We got the NOA2 in a blazing 136 days, so this extended wait is likely to make up for that.   
VJ has educated me to know that the next batch leaves NVC on 19th, so very hopeful to make that date.

So just checked again for the 100000th time this morning and it says the case in now IN TRANSIT!! Finally!!
I have a question though. The CEAC Status says "Your Interview Date was Provided to you by the NVC". Can someone explain what this means? I thought I would have to schedule the interview ourselves once the embassy gets the case?? is this normal?
 
 

I cant say for sure. However I know the packets have not "left" the nvc yet. They will be on their way tomorrow. That's when we will be able to track them. As for today I'm unsure if they are left in a mail room waiting for pick up. or if they depart tomorrow to be dropped at the DHL facility. But I know DHL gets them at their Boston Facility tomorrow afternoon.

Just got off the phone with the NVC. File is received as of today but nothing assigned yet. My NOA2 is 1/11.

we received our hard copy NOA2 today by snail mail.  204 days (or 209 depending on which site used).
no app or emails. The official site stills says “case received.”

Mine took 64 days to get a NVC case number it’s sadly different for everyone 

The OP never answered. It's an incorrect assumption. You can go to IRS.gov and download an official IRS transcript that you can use at your interview. But, always check the P3 to see if there is any deviation from this procedure. In 5 years of answering questions I have yet to have anyone turned down or away because they used the Transcript and not the long form 1040.

My NOA2 date is 01/15/19.... anyone with that date gotten their NVC # yet? 

I spoke with a person at NVC at 7:45 EST and she said someone was actually inputting my case # as we spoke... so, someone is doing something,even at that time.

Can you quote your source, because the IRS transcript is an official government document and is used in lieu of the paper 1040 (which also is a "copy" and not an original).  I believe your source is wrong but I wait to read your reply with quote.

We had the same problem with our case. We've  got a written letter but nothing  changed online. 
Ive got super worried and called yesterday. They said there are some problems with updating the websites for some petioners(?! I didn't ask why) and our case is at the NvC, waiting to be mailed !
The lady sended us an email with our case number !

I'm hoping to be a part of that Feb 5/6 shipment date.

I just called the NVC.  They said they received my approved petition and they gave me my case number and invoice number.  I called the 603-334-0888 number and I was on hold for about 7 minutes.

Based on your post I tried the ceac tracker for the nonimmigrant visa type, using my fiance's DS-160 application number.  It shows that the visa is "Issued" as of today, 31-Jan.
 
Stage 1 of this journey is almost over, soon on to the AOS leg.
 

It depends on the consulate . Some will take just copies of the returns. Some don't ask for the docs and 134 at all. This question is better asked in the regional forum where you are having your interview. You will get a better answer there....

My fiancé called NVC today and we received our case number! NOA2 date was Jan 4th. Case still at NVC when checking the case status.
