  1. I'm happy to be joining this group--we received our NOA2 approval notice today! Thanks Greenbaum for the advice and important links. Do they now contact the beneficiary for the next step, no longer the USC? Thanks! EDIT: Also, I can't seem to find how to update my signature...help?
  2. We are approved!! I'm stil in shock. 😍😍😍 NOA1- August 13 NOA2 - January 9 I recieved a text/email that they have taken action on our case. I visited the new site right away-it says approved! I checked the old site, it hasn't changed yet. Still waiting on the letter, we have informed delivery, so another celebration when that comes. Our application: completed 100% ourselves with lots of advice from VJ, 1 divorce (finance), lots of in person visits so I did not include ANY WhatsApp messages, skype/phone records, facebook/social media, etc. I did have lots of proof of our visits. I am going to update my timeline! Hopefully everyone will be ahead of schedule!

    Immigration - dogs

Thanks! I'll look into them both. Has anyone ever done it themselves without a company?

    Immigration - dogs

Does anyone have any experience or advice on bringing your dog over to the USA from the UK? My fiance (in progress K1) has a 2yr boarder collie and we will be bringing him over during the final move. Questions for anyone with experience: -Was there any delays due to the visa that made it difficult for the dog? Could I pick the pup up at the final destination if my fiance got held up with immigration? -Is there an airline you'd recommend that's pet friendly? -We plan on getting the pup's passport early with jabs records and we know to have a final checkup 10 days prior to his flight. Any other steps I should be thinking about? From what I can tell, it's going to be a lot easier to bring my dog over than my fiance. πŸ˜‚
  5. Currently our predicted NOA2 date is February 19-25, but it can always change (usually they'll get longer, rarely shorter). I'm not sure how accurate they are, but they use a lot of data to generate it, so it's better than nothing. With a very close NOA1, I'd assume yours would show similarly. Oh wow, are you going to be at the game tomorrow?! I went to my first Chelsea game this time last year and loved it! My fiance said I'd have to cheer for them or he would support my university team rivals. πŸ˜‚ So, GO BLUES! Also--congrats Mepck!
  6. Welcome! It sounds like we have a similar timeline and both UK. It'll be interesting to see if ours process similarly. You should fill out your "timeline" which will give you a predicted date for NOA2. 🦁 We're Chelsea fans though...
  7. I got an email update from USCIS yesterday. Nothing I didn't know, but nice to get a little unexpected nudge that I'm still on the list. Anyone else get this email? We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on August 16, 2018.
  8. Shiran, I just received my hard copy I-797 today (and we have the exact same timeline so far) so I think you can be expecting yours soon! I consider my NOA1 Aug 13, it seems like that's the date most are using.
  9. Those first few days are so nerve wracking because you're worried you did something wrong. I completely get it! I'll be waiting for your announcement when you get your text/email. Hang in there!
  10. Yes, but try and be patient. It was another few days before I got the text/email notification that they picked it up even though they acknowledged they had it since that day. Good luck!!
  11. Welcome josefien! My check was just cashed today. Still waiting on the paper I-797. I'm already impatient! Do my fellow August filers have plans for their next trip to see their fiance? We're hoping November, but won't be able to spend Christmas together this year.
  12. I just also received my text message and email! I-129F mailed: 08/06/18 I-129F delivered (USPS): 08/09/18 USCIS Acceptance confirmation text/email: 08/13/18 My packet is now on its way to California! Shiran, ours are probably traveling together. 😁
  13. We mailed ours today! I wish I would have read the above comment, because I went with USPS. Let's hope it arrives safely! Glad to finally be one step closer!
  14. Happy to join this club soon! I'm hoping to send ours on Monday. I'm just doing some triple/quadruple checks over the weekend. We did it all ourselves (thanks to VJ!) and I just hope I'm not going to miss anything. Good luck to all my fellow August filers. πŸ’—
