lovemeow got a reaction from growe4 in Form I-693 for AOS interview required?
Hi kabayan! Wishing you good luck for your interview next month 🤗
About the I-693, I didn’t bother to bring it.. and the interviewer never asked for it not even the medical.. it seems that before they called our names for the interview, the interview officer already reviewed our case (which she saw that my medical has only been less than a year). My interview lasted 20-30 minutes only, all she asked are what’s our love story , evidences of a Bonafide relationship. I just gave her a copy of our joint credit card statement, joint telephone bill, a copy of our health and life insurance, apartment contract lease with both of our names on it and asked for our photos (I showed her our engagement, wedding, honeymoon photos) asked me to identify every family member who were present in the wedding and reception photos. She asked everything about the Form I 485 (just to verify if everything was filled up and matches your answer) and the questions about your background etc etc where all the answers are “No”.
Then the interviewer said, everything’s fine with the interview and gave us a white paper saying that our case is still for review and to give USCIS 120 days to review it, and she said that this is not a bad thing, it is just a protocol for them to give out this paper before they approve a case. They will just send us a mail of approval or RFE if they still need more documents from us.
Now’s almost a month, but we still didn’t hear from them.. My case status online was updated a day after my interview “interview is completed, case for review”... and now No news yet 😓

Agree. COs in USEM are very open minded. During my interview, the CO also asked for photos together. As mentioned, at that time, my husband and I had only two photos together and all taken at the same day. I explained that "we dated over PS4 games and movies. None of us remember to take a selfie on the couch". After that, the CO told me I was approved.
I think it is important to maintain presence of mind and to remain calm during the interview.

Hi.. No need to worry.. US Consulates in Philippine USEM are very open minded as long as you prove to them that the relationship is real... No worries as long as you’re true, no matter how short the relationship is..
Speaking not from my experience (though i’m K1 visa too), my bestfriend also is a K1 visa, she was 30 years old and her US fiancé is 53 years old, with only a 5 minute interview according to her (her fiancé did not accompany her)... they just asked basic questions and asked for their photos together (vacations and engagement) then that’s it..visa approved, visa in hand in a week..

"Left a bank loan" meaning she defaulted on her loan? If that's the case, then she really wouldn't get any police clearance until that loan is settled. Unpaid debts can lead to criminal charges in the Middle East.

My asawa was lucky in that regard because her former employer was able to get her PCC from Qatar after she left and moved back to the Philippines.

Hi, Going alone or having you be with your fiancé doesn't matter. As long as documents are complete and the answers to the Consul are right and matches everything the is in your application.
In my experience, I got interviewed May 2018 in US Embassy, Manila. I went there alone (last time I saw my fiancé was December 2016), and everything went smooth for me. I just had a less than 10 minute interview and they approved me right away. I had one colleague (met her in St. Luke's while having our Medicals), and by coincidence we have the same date and time of interview, I saw her in USEM Manila with her fiancé and greeted them, her number was ahead of me and she was interviewed by another consul, by the time I was called for interview, she was like 10 minutes already with the Consul (so I was thinking that interviews are taking so long), then surprisingly mine was faster.... by the time I was finished, I happened to see her and her fiancé again in one corner in a frown, so I greeted them and she told me, we got a problem and they got denied, but she won't tell me any details and then her fiancé took her to leave immediately (I felt like he doesn't want her to share their problem).
No cellphones or any kind of electronics is allowed (not even USB's or Powerbanks, even the CD of Medical in St. Luke's). There are people outside the USEM roaming around offering you can leave your valuables with (if you can risk to trust them, and they'll ask you around 300-500 pesos).. It's safer, if she can bring a friend or a relative to leave her valuables (there's a waiting area outside of USEM, and chairs which you can rent for 20 pesos). All I brought inside the USEM is my folder of documents, because there's another line of those who has bags (place them in an Xray then still they'll open it and check it one by one), those with no bags has a shorter cue and can easily go inside. By the way, they won't allow you to bring large bags or backpacks too. They prefer a transparent envelope where you can put your documents
Hope this helps you. Good luck

Have a little faith on her. Write the address or print a map, I swear is not that difficult (unless she has some psychological condition that won't allow her to depend on herself).

lovemeow got a reaction from K & R in Form I-693 for AOS interview required?
Thank you so much, I also find it odd to have it transcribed again from a US Civil Surgeon because that will be redundant.
-
lovemeow reacted to K & R in Form I-693 for AOS interview required?
Do not waste your money and find a civil surgeon. That poster was incorrect. You’re absolutely fine for your interview your medical is less than a year old and your vaccines are complete and submitted. I-693 was submitted at POE. Everything is in order ☺️
-
lovemeow reacted to K & R in Form I-693 for AOS interview required?
You don’t need the I-693 because your medical was done abroad. You already submitted the vaccine form which is great. You should be perfectly fine. Ours was the same way and we had no issues getting our GC
-
lovemeow reacted to K & R in Form I-693 for AOS interview required?
This is completely incorrect. You don’t need the I-683. All GC appointment letters state to bring the i-683 unless already submitted. It is submitted as part of the yellow packet at POE. OP should have submitted the vaccine form with AOS. If not OP can bring it to the interview no problem. No need to go to a civil surgeon at all.

lovemeow reacted to K1visaHopeful in Form I-693 for AOS interview required?
If you are a K1 and completed your medical with 1 year of applying for AOS, you dont need a new one.
You fall under "unless already submitted". No, YOU didnt submit it when you applied for AOS BUT your medical package that was in your yellow visa package that you handed in at your POE contained it. It has been sent to USCIS from your POE. So yes, you already submitted your medical regardless of whether or not it is on a I693 form.
