Hello everyone!

I am currently preparing my packet for removal of conditions to mail next week and thought I would take this opportunity to start our forum topic.

As a reminder - here is the link to the USCIS page as we all make our way through yet another pile of paperwork!

https://www.uscis.gov/i-751

Good luck - and don't forget the fees increase next week too!

Here is a link to some of the changes on the new documentation and fees effective from October 2nd:

https://www.aila.org/File/Related/20073100da.pdf

Also: the current i-751 form has an expiry date of December 2019 on it.  Whilst this is the correct form to use at the time of this post - it COULD change before you submit your packet so ALWAYS check the USCIS site before mailing your packet to make sure you are sending the correct form.

Good luck!

I'm also an October filer, I'm planning to send my package on October 13th. I finished preparing my package with the increased fee,  but I keep checking the news everyday to see if either the I-751 form changes before I send it or the filing fees change (as we just heard from yesterday, that a judge halted the increased fees). If the judge actually halts the fees increase but USCIS rejects it or ignores it, I'm not sure about the check amount we should be sending them. I'd rather pay the increased amount and not get my application rejected to be honest...

I hadn't heard about the halt to the increase  in fees!  There are certainly some issues with the increases - particularly with the asylum seekers fee- thank you for flagging this - we should all keep our eyes open!

Hi everyone,

I am in a sticky situation as my husband lost his job due to COVID-19 and we are barely scraping by, of course it's time to renew the green card and remove conditions!

So we could have sent in the package last week but we were waiting for unemployment to kick in so we can use it towards this fee (YIKES!!!! and now its going up even more).

I have already filled out all the paperwork, but I am wondering what you are all including in your packet besides the obvious forms and payment? Is there a guide here of what to send? It's so hard being under all this pressure at once. With the job loss, employment search, global pandemic and this removal of conditions for a new green card.

Any words of wisdom are appreciated. I also am curious if you are all sending in the new fee amount that was halted by the judge, or the old amount?
