Hello we filed in January and received our approval in April. Today I got the email that the NVC has received our case and I paid the next round of fees. I am waiting for the payments to clear so that I can start submitting documents online. I am so excited, we are hoping to get him here before Christmas!

Hello! I got notice that our petition was approved on April 24th. It was 86 days since they received it. I'm optimistic that things will go smoothly!

Just got notice that our VISA was approved on April 24, 2019. That was 86 days after it was received! I haven't recieved the letter yet,  what will our next steps be?

Ok so I talked to my fiancée and we are both going to do research this weekend and make a decision on Monday between the two visas. If we decide on the CR1 then he will come here in Nov and we will get married and then start the process. We have a tentative date for a church wedding as August 3 2019, I feel now with the CR1 that we can still do that. He can come here and we can do the church wedding in August and then he can go back home. The church wedding is just for friends and family to see me in that white dress, I will already be married.

Thank you everyone! My fiance just called me and told me he did his research tonight,  he knew I was doing mine lol. We both think the CR1 VISA is for us.  We decided that he will come here in Nov or Dec, as I am going to there in October ( my mom will kill me if she can't see me get married). We will get married and start the CR1 by the end of this year! It may take longer,  but I think it will be worth it in the end! I am going to bed with a smile on my face,  feeling like a weight has been lifted.  

It will make our August 3. 2019 church wedding less stressful too. He will just come for a couple of weeks and we will do the church wedding with my friends and family and then he will go back until we are approved!

Yes,  I understand that. Wev are planning to get married the week after it is approved and he has his visa in hand. 

I'm not worried about the money.  I just want him to be here,  so I can fall asleep next to him every night.  We both have a pretty decent sized savings accounts. We can figure the money thing out.

I obviously can't stop working until he can work and has a job, I'm not a moron.  I have a friend that runs a shop and will give him a job when he needs one.  I can't start my marriage out by living a part from my husband for a year.  We will figure it out,  I know couples that have been in worse financial situations.  We discussed it and decided that the k1 will be for us.  I have been talking to someone that has gone through this from Canada and she wad super organized and got her visa in about 6 months.  I'm just going to send as much as I can and be as organized as I can and pray that God will help us to do what is right for us.
