I'm an October filer who has been approved (NOA2). My NOA1 was 10/06/2017 with an estimated NOA2 as early as April 10 BUT I got approved 04/02/2018 so I'm not saying VJ is incorrect but it's an estimation. Your estimated date can fluctuate but always keep an eye on it because it gives an idea of how far ahead the USCIS is with all cases. Also lurking on other threads helps a lot! I had the same feelings you guys have right now when they were approving September cases but it all worked out. The best advice I can give is to be patient and not worry about it too much. Remember that regardless of what the USCIS is doing, you have the love of your life

My fiancé just got an email from Informed Delivery with an incoming letter from the USCIS, he doesn't get home until the night so I went to check online and our case was approved.
No update on the old system. NOA1 10/10/2017

We ALL want clarity but this business of immigration provides none. No one will be able to provide exact days, dates, which numbers of applications they are working on. The members that help on here to TRY to decipher what info USCIS provides the public with on their website/app, are merely extrapolating STATISTICAL data and make PREDICTIONS with it. 
I'm very sorry but you will find no clarity here, nor anywhere. What you will find here is mutual support in a group of ppl that have a comparable situation. We have all had to forget our expectations and can only lean on watching the predictions of when our cases will be done. 

Looks like the first few October approvals started today. We are almost there...

It is with great sadness that I report that I sent a letter today to withdraw our petition. VisaJourney has been my lifeline during this process and I will miss it.  @Naes thank you for all your hard work keeping us informed! I also want to thank all the moderators on this awesome site!!  And lastly, thank you all you beautiful, wonderful people who have been involved In this long tedious process. My heart is broken right now, but I pray to God that all of you have a healthy, happy journey in life and love!!

Good luck to all my Octobros! Feeling really excited for what this week will bring  I'm not expecting an approval for myself just yet but just the fact that they will most likely start October feels very surreal.. I can't wait to see those approvals y'all! 

Not really. randomly only November 16 received dates cases got approvals...not updated in the system or anything (vj timelines is not always received cases some people put noa receipt date, however after asking around we figure out it only happened to November 16 received cases) in November thread we call this rogue adjudicator who decided to move forward by himself mr. bean. We embrace this guy... cause he pissed us off but how can you be angry at him... 🤷‍♀️

Update: We heard from the NVC only about 2 weeks after receiving NAO2! We already got our case number. I actually received 3 emails from the NVC that day, and one of them said that they had approved our request for expedited processing, which is interesting since we never requested that. But all the info checks out, so we just feel pretty happy and lucky that it has fallen together so quickly!

Looking back, September NOA2s started dripping in around the first of March, so it's only been 3 weeks, and we've seen our estimation dates move up considerably as well. The Berries did work their way through 120+ pages of posts over the course of March, maybe that makes it all feel slower somehow? 
 
To keep things cheerful my financé and I placed bets for our NOA2 date during my last visit. Surprised to see we're still very optimistic! He's betting 177 days, I'm betting 184. Not a big difference, but whoever is closest is treated to a fancy NYC cocktail night. Still, would not be mad if he won
