A month ago I had my interview in Australia, fast forward 1 month, and we are officially but unemotionally married! (Our formal ceremony/wedding is June 30th).
 
Entry into LAX was super easy. 
Filled in a declaration form from the customer service counter, (you couldn't use the computers for K1 visa's apparently), went to the immigration officer, he took my sealed envelope, passport, and fingerprints. Stamped me though in less than 2 minutes!
From plane to baggage claim in under 30 mins!
 
I entered 2 weeks after my interview. We decided to road trip from Chicago to Vegas in an RV that cost $1/day. Highly recommend it if you have some spare change to drive across the USA! We even received $300 fuel credit!
We stopped into several National Parks and had the best time taking in some of America's greatest sights - Estes, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Monument Valley, and of course, Grand Canyon.
 
We were able to stop into a random town at an SSA office and get my SSN sorted in about 30 minutes.
 
Finally yesterday, we were able to walk into the Vegas Marriage license office, obtain the license, walk around the corner to the county clerk, and become officially and unemotionally married in less than an hour. (Our witnesses were another couple who were also getting their marriage license. We waited for them outside and we walked together to the clerk office become officially hitched).
 
We then took a Lyft down to the Vegas welcome sign and snapped a few photos with our official documentation!
Cheesy & corny, but makes for a great story in the future

Differs by country, but that does seem a long time. I suggest contacting the embassy and asking them to move it up. Worst case they just say no, no downside for you assuming you are all prepared.

Hi Junies. I just want to share my POE experience. I had my POE in LAX March 1. Passing the immigration was easy for a K1 visa holder. The only question/s he asked me is the purpose of entry and if we had kids. Also, make sure you bring the yellow packet. I have spoken to a Cambodian under a spouse visa and she didn't have the yellow packet. I don't know why. The officer won't let her pass so she was escorted to the office. She was still tearing up when I left. I hope she was able to pass because she had a visa on her passport. The line for immigration was long and eventhough I had a 3-hour layover, I had to run from Terminal 1 to Terminal 6 for my flight to Dallas. I quickly went to the restroom, got my luggage, passed the Customs and dropped my luggage again. Haha I arrived at Terminal 6 five minutes before boarding time. I do not recommend having another connecting flight different from your point of entry! My fiancè trusts me a lot for him to buy me this ticket (much cheaper than a straight flight from an Asian country to the US) Haha but it was an experience. Lol.
 
Yay also jet lag is real and I'm not used to cold. My fiancè and I will be settling here in Texas (not so cold they say but I'm from the Philippines which is at 39 degrees C today). I need a lot of warm hugs. Haha. 
 
I'm so excited for everyone! Soon couples and families will be reunited again! ❤❤❤

Good morning everyone  
I finally scheduled my interview for March 8th!! Only 11 days. Super nervous and super happy. 

I just got the packet emailed to my fiancé (usc) yesterday. It says to do the DS-160 and then arrange a medical (which I’ve already done as I used the NVC number I got when I called ) 
Then a list of documents to gather including I affidavit, fiancés w2, birth cert etc etc . 
When i have my medical results and all documents gathered I am to submit a “Notice of Readiness” which they included In the email: I submit it to NvC and email a copy to the embassy and the NVC will issue an interview appointment and allow me to then pay my fees . 
This is just how it is for the Dublin Embassy , I know it is different for others! 

Mine is the 19th Feb too!! 😊😊

Yeah , if you google I-94 and log in with your passport details you should get a list of all the times you went to USA !

Quick update and a huge thank you to those who have helped, messaged, and supported me recently with all the kaka I have going on.
 
So, mister has JUST been told he can leave the hospital. No more ICU, scary words, and days of not hearing from him. Over. The. Moon. 
Literally worried me sick.
 
He mailed our RFE stuff last Thursday, heard nothing yet though. Surely they tell you it's been received? I dunno.
 
Still. Some good news!!!
 
Thank you to everyone who sent love, thoughts, prayers. This has been a testing month and I'm ready to see him now, please?! Almost a year apart, lots of poop hitting the fan... I need to be there to support him and battle this thing they call life together. 😢

My fiancé is currently attending medical. 🙌🏼

My fiancé had his medical yesterday (haven't gotten the full recap from him yet, but sounds like it went fine) in Auckland and dropped his documents off at the U.S. embassy.  He got an email with his interview time today scheduled for February 15th (so about 3 and a half weeks out).  We were bummed because we were planning to take a trip that weekend with my parents...so he emailed the embassy and asked if they had anything earlier.  So now he's got an interview on January 25th
 
Pretty surreal being near the end of this all! 

Lawyer is telling you wrong. for sure call NVC! I called Wed. Morning and it hadn't been received, called back Wed. night and it was received. Then called Fri. night and they gave me our new case number. So yes keep calling NVC.
