I have a question about ssn.. from what I've read on here it sounds like people are applying for it after they enter the u.s but from what I've read online it says I can't apply for one until I apply for AOS and have a work permit. Can I do it now?

@Marekonjo they asked me how I met my fiance, when we met for the first time, how often we see each other, and what he does for work. Honestly it wasn't bad at all and the girl was very friendly.

Montreal embassy - Does anyone that has had their interview already know if you must have a long form birth certificate or if they will except a short one. They email me Thursday afternoon to bring a copy of long form birth certificate and Friday was a holiday, Monday is a holiday and it takes 5 buisness days to get and I leave for my interview in 4 business days 😬

Does anyone else get mad at their fiance when they are actually feeling sad? I have been sick and my uncle just died from stage 4 cancer so I've been going through a lot and it's been hard to deal with without him here. I called him on Skype and I got mad at him and actually hung up on him and he called me back and asked why I was mad. I sat there for a min thinking about how it's not his fault and started crying, I told him I'm not really mad I'm just having trouble not having him here. I can't wait for this distance to be over.

@Trinab80 Congratulations! I hope the rest of your process runs smoothly and fast, you definitely deserve it. @John & RoseIt's so nice to see people that have been waiting a while finally have smiles and excitement back in their posts!!

@purplepink I don't think I've heard a single good thing about using a lawyer for the k1 visa lol no I didn't sign for it.

@purplepink he received it by email and I think I got it in the mail a week later along with a copy of our I-129f.

@purplepink my fiance (the petitioner) received my packet 3, 9 days after our status changed to ready. I sent back my packet 3 the day I received and I got packet 4 emailed to me the next day. The wait time for an interview was a month but I had to take a later date.

@Lotts That is annoying. I have blacked out a couple times and they checked me out and just gave me tips on keeping my blood pressure up.
-
@Lotts how did they find out so much about your medical history at the exam, did you have to give them some medical records? I find it so weird that every place is so different.. My doctor talked to me for maybe 2 mins to see if I had all my vaccines and to check my blood pressure.
-
@John & Rose did they say if your case was electronic? Mine was sent the day after I got my case # and that was a Friday and then my status changed to ready on the Monday.
-
@Laura & Chris I'm surprised you didn't take the later appointment with the time difference. I'll be there looking like I'm ready to pass out or throw up lol
-
@Laura & Chris yes we do! I've actually seen a few people here on visa journey that have an interview the same day as us. I don't know what time I'm going to go but my interview is scheduled for 8:30.
-
@Habitaters our interview is the same date too. I have seen a lot of people on here with April 11th interview date.

For anyone that's interested. I just had my medical exam done in Toronto and all he did was check my height, weight, blood pressure, then sent me for xray and labs. He was a very nice doctor and the staff was fairly friendly.

@Laura & Chris I live in Ontario so I actually went to a location in Toronto. It was pretty easy they didn't do any physical exam, he just checked my blood pressure and then sent me for xray and labs.

@Gillian90 Dr Lyndon Mascarenhas in Toronto.
June 2018 AOS Filers
in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
Hey everyone quick question.
So I submitted my adjustment of status a couple months ago and today we got a notice for request for evidence. We forgot to send in the tax returns (we just thought we needed the W2s). But they also said that my husband's joint sponsor doesn't make 125% of the poverty guideline however we know she does because on the W2 it says she makes more than twice the amount required. So I'm wondering if they said that because we didn't submit the tax return or if there could be another reason. And now I'm wondering if we need to submit another person as a joint sponsor because it says later down "Submit evidence from a different qualifying joint sponsor".
Any help or advice is appreciated.
