Rkhan@123 reacted to Jeanne Adil in US Embassy Islamabad replied against Inquiry
they will get the same answer you get
they actually will be able to see your inquiry and answer to u
they can not help
congress makes the laws but does not control immigration
it is not under a US budget
it is paid for solely by out fees

it actually says the amount of time is difficult to predict
there is nothing you can do but wait

Just a generic statement really. Means you're stuck in AP which has no timeline. It can take days, weeks, months, even years for some. There isn't much that can be done except wait and allow them to finish their process. AP generally is looking into background stuff, security checks, verification of documents, ect.

Rkhan@123 reacted to Amadia in CR1 visa after interviewed stuck on Ready
The status would stay on Ready and interchange to Administrative Processing and then back to Ready each time an officer touches your case file. If your passport was kept, you are fine.
Your paper with the 221(g) should state why you were put into Administrative Processing and what the embassy now needs from you to move forward with your visa.Just supply what they asked for in your 221(g) and you should be okay. You have 1 year from the date your 221(g) was given to you to provide the info they have asked for in the paper. If you fail to provide the requested information, they will deem your application for visa as "abandoned" and will close your visa petition.

If they have took your passport that is a good sign. and Administrative processing could take to years. Every case is different

The only thing the Congressman office can do is send an inquiry....which you can do yourself. AP is unfortunately something that can drag on for years especially if they have not requested anything specific. They will continue to review your application and all the info and documents you provided but they are not obligated to give you detailed info once you are in AP.
Keep faithful.

Senators and Congressman can help you get an answer if the inquiry does not work but they can't make the process move any faster. Sometimes it takes a few days before the embassy responds. Because you sent it on a Sunday when they were not open I would not expect that you would have an answer today. I would give the embassy a few more days to respond to you then decide if you need to reach out to your local representatives.

It's really hard to say some get the Ds-5535 months later.
Since they did not request documents and its just 221g for administrative processing you just have to wait. It could be weeks, months or even years. You can send an inquiry through the website like you did before and ask specifically why your status shows ready and if they require anything further from you. They advice to Inquire every 2 months on the 221g.
Mine has updated many times but status always says Administrative Processing. It has never changed from Ready back to Admin processing and back to Ready at all. That typically happens before a visa is issued not during the AP process.

what was the 221g requesting? Usually when you submit the documents requestd on the 221g the embassy can continue processing your case.

Well that is a good sign. If they wanted to deny your visa they would have just given back your passport. I am not familiar with your particular embassy. Perhaps someone else could offer further advice. Good luck
