Nearly there

Our case has finally been received at the NVC after 28 days, I did think it was going to take longer. Fingers crossed we get assigned a case number really soon, they have said it can take up to 2 weeks.......but it seems looking at other cases it wont take that long.
I'm really excited to finally be getting ready for the medical and interview. Woohooo, can't wipe the grin off my face

I am feeling a bit bad for posting this here, given there are so many people still waiting for NOA2 that would have deserved their approval long ago,
but the Junies (and some later filers, especially @Nae) became such a constant and important part of the journey, I just want to give you all hope and show that this waiting process has indeed an end, and I want to thank you all so much for the support provided in this thread(s) over the last months!! Don't give up, it's a draining time, but you will all be with your loved ones after it, and come out stronger than before! Sending lots of love and positive energy your way, I know it's needed.

I have 31 people here, 17 virgin cases. if vj is still about 8% but let's call it 10 % so yes guys you are in the last bulk of 300-500cases.
By the way overall number at the beginning was 152

So, an update on my fiancé's interview yesterday:
His scheduled time was at 10am, and he got to the embassy at 9:30am...then, they didn't call him up until 11:30am - he was the last person there, apparently!  When he finally did get called up, it was a short interview (just like many have reported): how'd you meet, where is she from, what does she do for work, etc.  Apparently they were a bit confused as to why I had a co-sponsoring I-134 - my income is over the threshold but I put one in just to be safe - not necessary, I guess!  His medical from Monday hadn't arrived yet, but they said if it had they would have given him the visa right then and there.  Expecting it in the mail when he gets back home next week  

Yes.  I did sit back and wait for too long.  Now I am starting to push it and at least I feel like I actually have had some attention.  We will see.  There are a few more things I plan on trying.

I really don't understand why and how you forgot to send everything they asked for to begin with. The documents they asked for in the beginning are important for them to decide your case. A case officer now has to spend more time to send a RFE to you, you wait longer and it adds to the time everyone else is waiting.
 
I think you wait to see what the RFE now ask's for and go from there.
 

I'm not sure it will  I think it will only cost you $$$ and not give you any real/different answers. I think by you calling and speaking to T2 you will get the same information.
I hope it happens soon for you, its really a long tough process.

I've been a long time lurker on this thread and I can honestly say it's really helped us cope. We received our NOA2 approval in the mail today saying we were approved on 4th Jan :D.

I know right.... lets take this phrase to the USA... when any of us have children as a result of the K1 Visa, from now on we shall teach them to refer to their 'female under-region' as their 'mossy cottage!'

I find it even funnier that you refer to it as "mens under-regions" HAHAHAHHAA

Just received notice of my approval via web update and email/text.
Glory to God in the Highest!!!!!.  it is ONLY by HIS HAND that we received something so quickly.  He is Mighty and hears our prayers.  HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!.  

YES I GOT APPROVED (June 23rd filer, notified thru USCIS App)!!!!!!!!!!

I also just wanna say, no disrespect to those who 'disappear' after they get their approval, I totally understand, but I'm not one of those people.

I'm in this with you all for the long haul.  Scans won't stop when I get mine, and I wont abandon you all... I'm here until we're all approved (at least the vocal people that I have come to know and recognise)...

Man - you're a good guy - everyone here is.  We don't all have to get along all of the time, but at the root of it, I want the best for all of you, and I actually have genuine thought in my heart for each and every one of you - even @John & Rose who I feel real heartache for with every passing day despite our differences in the past.

Yes, just make sure that you pose this hypothetical situation at the POE to the CBP agent. He/she will gladly provide you with timely information.

If the relationship has fallen apart then you would stay in your own country and not travel.........given you have three months from when you enter the country (after being granted a fiance visa) how on earth would you develop a loving genuine relationship with another person in that time. This K1 application is for genuine marriage to the person you love.

If you need to ask any of these questions after lodging a petition you really didn't know each other well enough to begin with and should not be going down the path of a K1 fiance visa application until you do. Nor do you leave well paying jobs until the application has been approved.
