Also what about POE at Dulles airport? I assume that the final destination is on the east coast. If she takes ANA from Tokyo she will arrive around 9am at Dulles. That time immigration lines are the shortest. Probably 15 minutes max to clear. Pick up the bags and leave the customs area, put the bags for the next flight 100 feet away, clear security upstairs and go to the gate (via the train, bus or walking).

I don't think @Vickys_Mom ever suggested putting any false names on the form. Nobody is obliged to take spouse's name after marriage. Using maiden name all the way until naturalization or never changing name are perfectly normal and legal choices. While changing names may be annoying after naturalization, millions of Americans go through this every year. When immigration is not involved at that stage, it well may be easier than having mismatched names in multiple countries and USCIS files.

As already noted the SS-5 doesn't have a marriage question on it at this time.

DO NOT misstate/lie about your current marital status to any government official.  (You don't have to volunteer everything you know, but if someone asks you a straight question give them an honest answer.)

If the Social Security office asks if you are married, tell them you are.  She doesn't have to put her married name on that card even if she is married.  "We'd rather she have her maiden name on her Social Security card so that it matches the name on her passport."

A misstatement in this case is such a small thing, and it will probably never come up later in your effort with USCIS.  But if it does it destroys years of work, thousands of dollars, and potentially your relationship.

Did your husband surrender VA car tags with the DMV when you guys left? If the car is still registered in Virginia, the state doesn't care that you guys live in UK now. They will keep sending you personal property tax letters and on top of that the penalty for not paying since 2022. I hope your husband canceled the plates before you left.

Maybe I'm just different. Whenever I travel with my wife we always go through the US citizen/resident lines together (even though I have global entry for the past decade). I can't imagine separating from my wife, for what reason?
The only place where they made us go separate was in South Korea airport. Every single person had to go separate expect the parents and kids. That was kind of awkward. Anyway. The point is that they should be honest when asked if traveling with someone else.

    Congrats!

Yes, you can bring guests to your ceremony. We were the first group of the day at the local office, and applicants were put in one line for the security and guests were put in the line after them. They made sure applicants went through before the guests. We had 40+ applicants and about 100 guests for our group.

Bring the card that you have with you. If you don't have new one by the time your oath, don't worry about it.

Everybody was wearing smart casual clothes, some people had suits. Nobody wore sundress as it was very cold here in Virginia

Make appointment for your passport for the same day of your oath or for the next day. The lady at our post office was kind enough to make copies of the certificate. We've paid for expedited service and got the passport 2 weeks later and certificate week after. I think with the post office fees it was around $260. We brought our own picture for the passport.

I think it was the oath letter, drivers license and green card. We had SS card with us too just in case.

Everything took about 30 minutes. Don't stress about it

Your wife will not go and stand in line with you? I think she should.
Also it looks very fishy if she goes to the other line and you go to the other. If they ask you or ask her if you/she travelling alone and you/she lies, you can be denied entry on the spot.
Be honest if asked and go together with your wife. There is nothing wrong with going to your country to get married and go back to finish your work.

In my opinion from what I've read in here. It would be 1 in a million for 2 single Colombian men to get any kind of visa to US, be it B or C visa.
You are saying that the flights from Cali to PVR are expensive? Pretty much every day in May the price is around $400.

For flights Cali to PTY to SFO to PVR to Cali is pretty much $1100 and up

Meet with them at PTY and arrive at PVR on the same flight. Problem solved.

I did it in the main passport office in Washington DC in two days. I had intl travel coming up and my passport was running out of pages. I think I had only 1 side of the page blank and that can also create a lot of problems at some countries. I've made the appointment within 7 days of travel, went to the passport office in DC to drop off my old passport and to pay the fees. Picked it up the next day. I'm pretty sure you have the same options in NYC. Good luck.

Complicated for US to marry Thai national (or other nationals). Unless they live in Bangkok or Chang Mai then there is less inconvenience and 'paperwork' to do.

Plan for your interview to be in February not June. My wife's N400 took 4 months from the time we applied to certificate in hand.
The passport with the expedited fee took 2 weeks.
If I were you, I wouldn't plan any trips outside of US for now. Vacations can wait. Finish your process and then enjoy the fruits

I also wouldn't touch it if it was just a hyphen. As long as you have properly spelled first name and both last names.
