AdilB got a reaction from JaHa in Are wedding pictures required for CR1 visa interview?
Photos of a wedding are not required, but are good proof/evidence.
But, you should not worry if you two have the following:
1- Closer in age, and mostly if the male is older. 2- Same religion. 3- Same language and culture. Are you both Algerian? 4- Multiple meetings, as in you have visited each other many times. 5- Photos of you two and with families. 6- Petitioner s stable income, and NO sponsors, as this shows responsibility. I feel that Photos are not as important as the actors above. Nowadays, in North Africa, many do delay weddings until after "Visa Approval". Then, they come back with their spouses to honey moon in the states. It is almost a trend now for North African French or Dutch; They wait until "Visa Approval" to have a wedding. Add to that, Some families prefer to push the weddings until after the "Visa Approval" to ensure their daughter is not left behind after marriage, as there are no guarantees of the "Visa Approval". Culturally, many girls remain Virgin until marriage. A girl s Virginity is almost her livelihood. But, that calls for a whole new topic. Bon courage!

AdilB reacted to pushbrk in NVC to Interview
Useless information in this context, because the OP is asking about the NVC stage, not USCIS.

Unfortunately, some refuse to accept reality and face the music.
Both petitioners and beneficiaries alike; It is so kind of you to have assisted the people mentioned above.
But, unfortunately, I have been witness to many of the following scenarios in my very community here in the US:
Most young beneficiary men from the MENA region have used much older American White Women for a Green Card/Passport only. Almost 90% of the husbands left as soon as they received Citizenships. They Went back and married the much younger cousin and started a chain immigration. It sickens and saddens me to have seen such use and abuse of humans and the system. I have spoken to people directly to warn them, but they were blinded by the lies and bs. I guess they knew something but refused to admit or wake up, as it was too sweet to disturb it all. The US Consulates and Embassies have done many potential Petitioners life time favors, when they deny certain beneficiaries a Visa. Red Flags are there for a reason.

AdilB got a reaction from neiana in I-130 For OCT 2017 filers
He did you a huge favor by talking you out of the K1 Visa; It is not as fast as before. Only 2 or 3 months less than the CR1, not to mention the benefits your wife will receive when she gets here. She will come in with a Green Card, SS# and a healthy baby. Good Luck

AdilB reacted to SusieQQQ in Permanent resident, just got divorced after 1 year of marriage and am moving back to Germany. Do I need to notify USCIS or take any additional steps?
You need to officially give up permanent residency to get yourself off the hook of having to file tax returns with the irs every year.

AdilB reacted to Khallaf in USCIS phone number
you can contact the customer service # while you are still within processing time, they will likely not be able to provide you with information.
When you call tier 1 they will only tell you what you can see online, while tier 2 might be able to look deeper but unless the judicating officer has put notes on your account they might not be able to see anything.

AdilB reacted to Jeanne Adil in USCIS phone number
your nOA1 came in October / little early to try calling
read bottom of the notice / actually says not to call and that if they need further information, they will contact you
and calling doesn't get answers especially if they are just doing the normal computer inputs and background checks on the USC at this point / your case may not even be looked at yet as they are working on summer 2017 cases

My P.D is 10 OCT tsc
You are on potomac you should be expecting something soon than other service center filers
might be from mid apriL to start of may is the time for oct filers.

AdilB reacted to ALittleBritish in What happens after CR-1/I-130 Approval?
Your approved case will be sent to the NVC for processing before it goes to the appropriate consulate. Here’s a link to the VJ NVC wiki that explains the process in detail: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process
hmm but I just realized you are doing DCF so the process may be different...
