Damn I can't help it and only can be jealous of you 😂 Especially while mine is rejected  But I'm glad to see some people having their case going so fast, congratulations!

Got my interview letter in today. My appointment is on Nov 29 in Indianapolis. That's 3 months after filing.

I was just about to comment the same sentiment. Although, I know many people use the K1 that way. The K1 is for people who are sure they want to marry.  I mean.... it is a heck of a process to go through with the thousands of dollars in total costs, extensive background checks, financial requirements, and stressful interviews for .... "let's see how things are". I'd rather be darn sure.

I'd actually disagree with the "get to know each other" advantage of a K-1. If you aren't 100% sure on wanting to marry and stay together, a K-1 should not be pursued yet.

We did this a long time ago, so it is not completely fresh on the brain and it may have changed. The police certificates didn't have to be in a sealed envelope. They didn't need to be translated because they had English on the back (we believe). But we for sure did not translate the police certificates.
@Little_Vixen Just went through the process and is very nice, so maybe she can reply if she has time!

Well believe it...otherwise we have a second immaculate conception and I'm not too fond of what's in store after that...

Uhmm guys... ain't the online system supposed to show 'ready for interview' or something? It just went from 'additional information received' after my rfe to 'interview scheduled' ?!?
I filed aos in August, they cant already have scheduled my interview can they?

It seems, if you both are serious, and you still planning on finishing your college in MX, least expensive course of action might be getting married after a year in MX, then applying for CR1 while you are still in college. That way you will enter US with green card, and will be able to work right away. It cost less in a long run too then doing K-1 then adjustment of status etc.

She totally tried to immigrate on a tourist visa. Glad they caught her and sent her packing. Pisses me off when we wait months sometimes years doing it the right way and some prissy tries to get around it but it makes me happy when they get denied.

Me too...when it's done legally. When it's illegal, I'm totally fine with them being stopped.

    Hi,

I know how you feel because the RFE of my K1 visa petition took me more than a month to respond. But always better safe than sorry, responding to RFE should be quick but not in a rush especially when you're still quite confused . Luckily, my AOS application got no RFE and I hope the following of how we did regarding tax info would help:

Go here https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript and sign up an account to get transcripts online in a minute. My USC husband who claims to be a techtard can easily do this himself so your husband will also be able to. The Tax return transcript you will get would look like attachment.

Also, to make my husband's tax filing situation easier for USCIS to understand , we also downloaded wage and income transcripts, which should be unnecessary if you submit tax return transcripts, and used them as alternatives of W-2, 1099....to further explained our case. (Please ignore this wage and income transcript if your case is rather simple.)

We submitted 3 years of tax return transcripts plus wage and income transcripts total in 15 pages only (will be even lesser if you only submit the most recent one) and highlighted the important info. Surely a breeze for you to prepare also for USCIS to figure out

Fun facts that have nothing to do with this topic but I'm feeling a bit nitpicky...
Amsterdam is not a country but a city in the Netherlands. It's capital, to be exact. It is located in the province of North Holland which, together with South Holland, used to be a republic of it's own called 'Holland', giving the Netherlands its unofficial name that most people abroad still use (and some Dutch people too to the annoyance of all the Dutch folks not from the aforementioned provinces (yours truly included)).

And that ends our geography lesson for today.

Also, you can only get married in the Netherlands if at least one of you is a Dutch citizen.

hey this is the website where you can find the Application Support Center (ASC) for your zip code if you enter your zip code.
    https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=ASC

ASC is where you have your biometrics appointment.. field office is a different location you can find it here..
    https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices

    hope this is helpful!

It may not even be a field office but an ASC (application support center) near you. wait and see because they use those asc offices for biometrics.
