Day 200 since our last update. Still no EAD or AP. Two case inquiries filed -- one this week and one about a month ago... neither of which have been responded to. Sigh.

Remember when USCIS got rid of the legal requirement to adjudicate EAD cases in under 90 days but promised it would still do so in the large majority of cases? About that...

    No decision yet.....😳

After 224 days my EAD/AP have been approved!!! 😆 And my GC interview has been scheduled! So much activity on my account this week 🥳

USCIS said in early Sept that my case may have been restarted at the time of my RFIE in June but it looks like in reality it delayed my case by 4 weeks. I hope this can be somewhat comforting to others in a similar situation.

Thank you!! Interview was good -- he said he would recommend that we are approved. He actually asked much more than I was expecting and even though there is nothing wrong with our application it was nerve wracking! He asked my husband what my birthday is, the date we met, date we got married, date of his previous divorce, how we met, when we got engaged, how that happened, why we decided to get married and how we started talking about that, whether we had family with us, whether we saw family afterward, whether we went on a honeymoon, what kind of job I have (US citizen) and asked my husband what kind of car I drive, what time I leave and come back from work each day, where my kids go to school, and more. It was very casual and he was INCREDIBLY nice but it was just a lot lol. My husband was drenched in sweat by the end lol! He answered questions we had about the process and we talked a bit about how he still hasn't gotten EAD/AP and he said all looked good and his job is just to make sure we are in a real relationship and that he's not a terrorist (lol -- he was like, "you're not, right?"). He asked if we brought any photos or proof of relationship. We gave him what we had and he looked through the photos and asked us where we were in each one, if we liked our trips, etc. He was funny. We were done in an hour and now just wait! So happy that it's over. He explained what happens in two years and said to start saving up "proof" for the next application in two years to remove conditions because you want to OVER send for that one so they just stamp approve and don't ask for more -- he said to send as much as possible. Good to know. I won't be relaxed until the card is in hand, but thankful to all of you for helping me get through this process!!

I am so grateful for all of you and your support and help. This has been a crazy whirlwind. We thought it would be quick to get AP/EAD. Now 7 months after filing my husband will have his Greencard?! Insanity. Next week off to the SSA and the DMV and then DONE for two years!

Finally got NOA on EAD & AP. Did an online inquiry once eligible and the online info changed two days before the date the inquiry promised a response by. Now to await the card and to pray the AOS gets scheduled within the year so we don’t have to go through the renewal process. (I’m less optimistic about this one, but fingers crossed).

I though my Peace Corps experience taught me patience...😂 not compared to this!

Had my interview a few days ago. Unfortunately, my spouse (Petitioner) was unable to attend the interview because he is currently away on military orders. I was very nervous going alone and not wanting to reschedule. All in all, the interview went okay. With A LOT of questions! I was told a decision could not be made right away and to wait 30-60 days. The following day I received update that my case was approved! Day 220! 🙌🙌🙌

Just got an email that our interview was scheduled. Sacramento, CA field office. I checked the processing times last week and they went up to 16 to 18.5 months, so I was bummed.
I was super excited to wake up this morning to this email. Time to get all the things ready.
I hope everyones notice will come soon. Mine came way earlier than expected.

My husband  was just asked to sit while they checked his AP in the office. They only asked him how long he was in Ireland. Then they came out and handed him the stamped form and he left (he had an emergency AP so a piece of paper). It was faster than waiting on the normal line!

I came back home to the USA yesterday from the U.K. using my AP. Process was delightfully smooth at Orlando Airport. I was through secondary inspection and collecting my luggage before most of the Brits with ESTAs had even made it to the border people - lots of European flights landed all at the same time so that queue was HUGE. Very pleased it worked so smoothly as lawyers have always advised against using AP, but my grandmother was 90 years old this week and all she asked for was her family to be together so I couldn’t let her down when I had AP in hand.

Gonna post an update too. Got my interview dates (Oct 22nd). Was surprised that we got our EAD and interview relatively quick for a field office with processing times between 11.5 to 23 months. Now gotta stress myself with interview preparation.
