    Hi everyone!
So nice to see many people here getting green cards, AOS interviews and such. Especially to those who were former K1 visa holders.. we have come so far!!

A few days ago, I received the letter from USCIS about my interview date - yay! Our interview is on July 17th so one more month to wait.
I have a quick question though: Since I entered the states with K1visa, I don't need to get any new medical exam for the interview, right...? I submitted my D-3025 when I applied for AOS (within one year of the date of my K1visa medical exam) so I was planning to bring a copy of my D-3025 to the interview. Recently, I came across one blog about AOS interview of former K1visa holder and the writer mentioned that she had to get another medical exam for AOS interview. Then I looked up on VJ (of course) about it and I found this post.

I read the last reply on this forum and TB44 mentions that "According to the instructions on the I-693, if you file for AOS within one year of the date of your K1 visa medical exam (AND your K1 visa medical is satisfactory i.e. shows no signs of TB, syphillis or gonorrhea, and you have completed the necessary vaccinations as evidenced by your D-3025), you DO NOT need to undergo a new medical for AOS, and you DO NOT need to submit an I-693 for AOS."

So am I understanding correctly that I do not need to get another medical exam for AOS interview as long as I bring my D-3025 with me??

Just an update and hope for those who are waiting. It looks like we will be receiving greencard way before EAD/AP.

    Good luck! Will keep updating.

Hi!! I should have all the dates on my profile/timeline page so please check that out because I don't have the notice(s) with me right now and I don't remember the date(s). But my combo card says it's valid from 2/14/2019
    Also no, I didn't do a expedite.

Hello, dear Berries! I'm here to share my interview experience.
It was yesterday, on January 15th in Seattle, WA. It was very easy and we got approved at spot.

We arrived 40 minutes earlier, went through security check (they most likely will ask you to take your shoes off - pretty much like in an airport), then got our number (it was 52) and went upstairs where the interview rooms are. We heard numbers 34 and 35 called and were sure to get stuck for a couple hours. But we were called next, about 5 minutes before our scheduled time.

The officer was very nice and really made the interview to not feel as such an official thing. At first we swore to tell the truth, only truth and nothing but truth. Then he asked us for our passports and IDs since he saw them in our folder. Then he took a picture of me (for identification purposes he said) and fingerprints of both index fingers. Then he said we'd go through the form to confirm the data. He asked me pretty much all the question from I-485: my full name, date of birth, previous names, address and work history, names of my parents, number of marriages and children, my wife's full name and date of birth. During that he asked me if I was working since I arrived. I said no, and he asked, "How do you guys pay for stuff?". My wife said that she's working full-time, and he seemed to be pleased with the answer. Then he went through all the yes/no questions. When I answered he was crossing out every point all this time. After that he signed the form and asked me for another signature.

After this part he asked how we met. We told the whole story from our first message till our days. He asked when exactly we started dating and if the website we met on was a dating site. Then he was like "Okay, I see you brought some papers for me, let's see them". He was only interested in relationship proofs, he didn't asked for any additional financial papers or of what was already submitted - so no birth certificates/marriage certificates/ SSNs. He took the vet bills with both our names on it. It was the only type of bills we had - before that we told him we're living on the land owned by my wife's dad, so he was fine with us not giving any utility bills. Also he added to our case the print out of phone bill that shows that I'm added to the family plan, copies of wedding/Christmas card sent to both of us and a letter from the insurance company that shows me as dependent. Then he flipped through our photo album (approx. 60 photos since our first meeting till Christmas). He asked about people in a few of the pictures, then asked where our wedding ceremony took place. There was a cute moment when he saw a picture of us with our puppy and was like "Oh is it your dog?? Okay, now you're all the way in." Oh and also at some point he asked what field I want to work in.

That was it. He said, "Now you can relax, I'm gonna approve your case" and asked me if I'd like to get a stamp in my passport that will serve as a temporary Green Card. Of course I said yes (I feel more secure with this stamp haha). He said he'd bring it in about 15 minutes downstairs, so we waited there for him. The I-551 stamp says it's employment authorized and valid for 2 months. We left the building and were in the car at 11.00 (interview was scheduled for 10.30). Last night my status changed twice - first to "Interview was completed and my case must be reviewed" and then in a couple hours to "New card is being produced".

So overall it was a VERY easy and pleasant experience. I hope everyone waiting will ave their interviews soon and as nice as mine!

    Hello everyone!
Just opened the letter from USCIS for my biometrics appointment. The appointment is on Oct. 31st! (Should I wear a costume!? lol)
Notice Date on the letter says 10/12/2018. I didn't check my mailbox for one or two days so it could have been here on Thursday. But it probably took a week or so for the letter to get here after they issued the letter.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

👻Boo! Well there's no way in "H-E-double hockey sticks" I'll be submitting my AOS before Oct but I saw this thread (and @Naes) so I'm here as I fill out everything all over again. Glad to be out of the long distance stress and congrats to all of your marriages!

    Hi everyone!
Last Saturday (9/22), I sent my package and they received it today. I probably won't hear back anything from USCIS until October, but I believe I'd be a member of September AOS filers if everything goes well!
I'm thinking of going to Social Security Office to see if I can change my name this week or next week. Then a next month or so, I will make a trip to NYC or D.C. to be officially married in Japan too! (Something Japanese citizens have to do if we wanna be officially married in Japan.)

Let the waiting game start! AGAIN!!!!

There is no way I'm getting my NOA1 by tomorrow, so let me start September AOS thread beforehand!

And remember it is always a good idea to just send EAD and AP together with the timelines getting longer. You never know what you'll need and it is free!

    Good luck to all!

Since the G-325A is no longer required, this information has been added to all forms as part of the biographic information. But since the instructions state to not leave any boxes blank, you are to fill in the information required and any additional information goes on the "additional information" sheet as indicated in the instructions.

Yes, I did do this for my husband, since he had an additional employer I had to add and there was no more fields to add it. We just filed his paperwork 2 weeks ago and received our NOA1.

***Update for anyone interested in this thread***

My fiance got through to a very helpful tier 2 officer who advised that, yes, a NOID would be sent. However, there is the chance for us to fix this if we submit everything as requested. (Thank our lucky stars)

Most interestingly a NOID has not yet been printed or sent, so no idea where the other tier 1 and tier 2 got the 7th of July from?!?

We will receive this decision officially by Aug 9th (a response to our "out of processing" request) and then we can submit the evidence in accordance with what the NOID states.

So all in all, everything is not lost!!! I am so thankful and I am really grateful for all of the help and support that everyone has provided me/us with today.

Thanks again! and let's hope we can finally move forward. If this new information turns out to be questionable then who knows but, for now at least, I feel like we are getting somewhere.

    ❤️
