I only have a tourist visa and I was able to file DCF. All I had was our apartment lease and joint bank account. The lease was notarized, not sure if it needed to be or not though.

For the affidavit of support I brought my social security statement and wrote a short explanation for why I didn't pay taxes. We used a cosponsor so we brought their tax transcripts and W-2s. We brought the past three years, but they only wanted 2016s transcripts and w-2.

I was able to file dcf in Manila with a lease for my proof of residence. Just kept extending my visa, never got permanent resident.

In one of the Facebook groups I'm in, someone wasn't able to file DCF because they didn't have any proof of residence here and they lived here for several years at his wife's parents.
