Yes, I just waited. When I first filed the estimated date was August 2021, so I knew it was going to a long wait when I first applied.

The journey is finally over. I had my interview and oath ceremony today. The IO asked me if I wanted to schedule the oath ceremony for a later date. I told him that while the IOs have all been very nice during this whole immigration process, I was done with having to come back for another time. So, I got sworn in and I have an appointment later today at the post office to submit my passport application.

Good luck to everyone still waiting.

At long last. Today I received my notification for interview on October 12.

Just to give more support to not believe the completion dates posted on your account, my date changed from 7 months yesterday to 13 months today.

When I did my ROC I only sent in quarterly bank statements and I was approved with no RFE and no interview. The key is to make sure the bank statements cover the whole time period from when you were married.

Had my interview today at the Los Angeles County Field office in DTLA. Got 10 questions even though I answered the first 6 correctly. 😄

Oath ceremony will be on Tuesday next week, March 16. Got the Oath Notice in hand before I left the field office right after the interview. I will also have a name change.

These were the 10 questions I got:

-What are the two parts of the U.S. Congress?
-There are four amendments to the Constitution about who can vote. Describe one of them.
-Who lived in America before the Europeans arrived?
-What is one thing Benjamin Franklin is famous for?
-What did the Emancipation Proclamation do?
-What did Susan B. Anthony do?
-Name one state that borders Canada.
-What is the capital of the United States?
-Where is the Statue of Liberty?
    -Name two national U.S. holidays.

    Reading: Who elects congress?
    Writing: The people elect congress.

She didn't ask for any definitions, just went through the N-400 form quickly to see if anything had changed since I filed, and then I had to sign/approve the corrections.

Will post a more indept review in the L.A. thread in a few days for anyone who might be interested.

So after I nagged USCIS for a biometrics appointment things started happening fast. I received the biometrics appointment after 2-3 weeks, had it done on January 27 and already today my interview was scheduled for March.

I'm going to apply as soon as I get my GC card in the mail, I've already downloaded and completed the N400.  I never thought I would apply for citizenship, and had planned to just hold a GC, but I need my US citizenship for additional job opportunities.  I'm applying to the notoriously slow Seattle office, so I'm going to apply ASAP.

My husband received his new card in the mail today! WAC assigned from the beginning via text 5/31/19. No RFEs, transfers, or interview. Rescheduled biometrics December to January. March 11 received card being produced update (online).

Thank you all for sharing your stories and offering support. Wish you the speediest of processes. Might see some of you around for the N400.

Tagging a few WAC in hopes yours is coming soon if it hasn't already.(Also saw action in March 2019). @Stelare@tamaara@gaby9@kranthi143@Ideaux@ShawnBethlehem@WOODHIKER@Scandi

If you were married to your husband in 2016, then your husband should have filed as married filing jointly or married filing single...he should not have filed single because he wasn't single, he was married.   It doesn't matter if you weren't living with him, he was still married in 2016.  If you have to send in 3 joint tax returns then he is going to have to amend his 2016 tax return to change his filing status.

WOODHIKER got a reaction from Phoenix777 in Traveling on Extension Letter?
I wanted to post my travel experience since I found reading this forum topic helpful for when I was travelled on my recent trip.

I travelled from Paris to LA on 7/29 on Delta, but the flight was operated by Air France.  When I got to the airport to check in I gave the AF agent my expired GC and extension letter.  I was worried for a second when I first gave her the extension letter because she said had not seen a letter like this before, but she was more concerned about determining how long my GC was extended for so that she could enter the date into the system.  When I showed her the sentence in the extension letter indicating that I had an 18 month extension she laughed and then started counting out 18 months on her fingers so that she could enter the extension date into the system.  Then she gave me a look and asked me why didn't the government just give me a new GC instead of the extension letter.  I told her it takes a long time to approve the application, so that is why I was given the extension letter.  She shook her head and laughed as if she couldn't understand why the process should take so long.  Then she gave me my boarding pass and I was on my way.   When I arrived in LAX I could not use the automatic customs process machines since my GC was expired and I had to go directly to speak with the CBP agent.  I gave the agent my expired GC and extension letter and other than the standard questions of where I travelled from and for how long there were no additional questions and no secondary screening.  The whole process was very painless.
