SalishSea got a reaction from Quarknase in Attorney Quote on us getting married on (her) Visitor's Visa
So she has the type of lifestyle where she can just up and move and not go back to Chile or work for 6-8 months?

No, it does not, unless it would continue from a US source upon domicile.

I know. This case, like that one yesterday, is DOA

Yes, you can earn $150k as an employee of the business (hence a W-2). But if most of that income is then put back into the business (meaning it can be written off as a business expense), then it is not available to sponsor somebody or to even live off of.
I think get what you are saying. You may be able to hold on to more of that money if it were needed. But the reality is that the money is not actually available for that purpose as it has been claimed for another purpose already.
Bingo.

That not true at all. You can legitimately make $150,000 a year in W2 income from your own business while the business, or some other investment, still loses money on paper. The business can have other investors or is using different tax write-offs, etc.
Now if you are self employed as a plumber or Uber driver, that is probably different. But as an entrepreneur and business owner of a larger business, it's way different.

False. For one thing, this really doesn’t apply to W2 employees as they won’t have business expenses. 1099 employees use their deductions to minimize their tax exposure so their reported income is after business expenses are deducted. That money is not their income. It is their cost.

SalishSea got a reaction from Teacake in K1 Visa 129-F Denial -- Next Steps?
Unfortunately, "Single Status Certificate" in no way "proves" that someone is unmarried. It only serves as evidence that someone did not legally marry in that jurisdiction. You could get married on a remote beach in Thailand, and still get a Mexican "Single Status Certificate." The main issue here is the incongruence between the lie on the previous B visa application, and the inability to show a divorce decree.

SalishSea reacted to Pitaya in Dual K1 visas from different countries?
Hmmm, I wonder??
Each US consulate/embassy is part of the US Department of State (DOS). An agency of the DOS, the National Visa Center (NVC) processes the approved petitions it receives from USCIS. Both USCIS and DOS and assigns unique case receipt/case file numbers very likely with personal identifiable applicant(s) information, such as biometrics, for each approved petition/application. Another DOS entity, the Bureau of Consular Affairs, is the public face at the various US embassies/consulates throughout the world. Their job is to administer laws, formulate regulations, and implement policies related to the broad range of consular and immigration activities throughout the world.
Are you getting the picture?

Of course they communicate.

These visas by their very nature are not fundamentally designed to be sponsored by petitioners who live abroad... that is why retuning to establish domicile ahead of the visa interview is generally recommended. Assets work to the extent that the sponsor can liquidate and repatriate them to the US.
Some people seem to think US family visas work like many European “ancestry” style visas do. That’s not the case. They don’t “pass on” rights, they are designed to reunite family members with a petitioner who lives in the US. If the petitioner lives in the US these problems don’t exist. If the petitioner doesn’t live in the US and doesn’t intend to, no need for the visa in the first place.

Just wondering if embassies communicate.

I think you are taking a big risk here. What’s the problem with you returning home and being gainfully employed before the interview.

OP, you will also need to research the domicile requirement. You are seeking a family reunification visa, and going through a tough consulate, you will need to do things by the book.

I think your public charge risk will be high with this. I'd pick a different joint sponsor, especially going through such a tough consulate.

Maybe OP's backup plan is to remain in Morocco in the very likely event of a visa denial.
