Marieke H got a reaction from AKN in My application has been approved, but my wife visited once
Being confident and making eye contact will not help to overcome the lack of time spent together.

Edwin you asked the same question in Januari and back then they advised you already to try and get more visits in or even ask your wife to come to the interview with you. I think that last one will help you the most.

It isn't a chance based process, depends on the totality of your circumstances, you have not mentioned anything positive, do you have anything positive?

Marieke H got a reaction from radka1980 in case update, what this mean?
It means that your EAD was mailed to you in September, which you already knew. I received the same message about my EAD that was mailed in January and about my Greencard that was mailed in March. Looks like they're cleaning up their systems or something and all these old notifications finally get sent out.

Marieke H got a reaction from Christy&J in ANY ONE TO HELP PLEASE!!!!
The CO asked for the I-134 because whatever financial documents you provided were not enough to convince them that you will not become a public charge.
Why would anyone here sign a document saying that they will financially support a random stranger? That's what the I-134 is; it is not just about providing an address. It is a financial commitment.

Marieke H reacted to Roel in ANY ONE TO HELP PLEASE!!!!
I HIGHLY doubt anyone here will give a complete stranger their taxes (which include all personal info) and no one in their right mind will sign i134 for you.
You want someone's address? And what if the embassy will call that person to confirm that you'll be coming there ? Should that person also lie to embassy? Honestly...

As someone pointed out in your previous thread, you can choose to postpone your medical and bring it to your interview instead of sending it with your AOS application. So if you're having trouble getting the medical completed now, just send your AOS application without it. That way you'll at least get the process started and you'll be able to get a SSN when your EAD arrives. Plus you'll be in authorized stay after filing.
I hope it'll all work out! I imagine it's a very stressful situation to be in.

Oh yeah, totally forgot about that. You can totally bring your medical to the interview instead. File for AOS ASAP. Then when you get your NOA you can try to get a SSN. Some offices do that. If not your EAD and AP will come way before your AOS interview so you’d be good for a SSN then. Make sure you send the forms and documents for EAD and AP. They’re each a separate application.

Don't fart around trying to get the MMR now it's contraindicated during pregnancy. You needed to get it done long before baby. You will only need the DTap and that is safe during pregnancy.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but can't you send the AOS package without the medical? And send the medical later?

Get somewhere safe. Safety always comes first, especially with a child. Get to a women's shelter if need be. They can provide guidance and counseling, and potentially more to help you get home.
Best wishes and stay safe.

Marieke H got a reaction from skyzee in Couple at Montreal interview - one from Texas, one from BC
I did some searching here on VJ, because I like puzzles. Could it be this couple: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?cfl=&id=274508
Their interview date was April 17, the wife joined the husband for his interview, and their username suggests they're from Texas and British Columbia. Oh, and according to their review, he was the second person to be interviewed!

MariekeH, you are amazing! I sent them a message! My husband won't stop making fun of me about doing this. My mom said: "Did you try looking for them on Instagram?" I can't believe she is more technologically advanced than I am. It was cool to meet people going through the same experience of being married to someone in another country and dealing with the paperwork and arduous process of waiting and proving you're legit. People I encounter in daily life are fascinated with this and don't understand why I'm giving up my job or moving and why he's not moving here. It was like a breath of fresh air to talk to people who were in such a similar situation. This community is so helpful. I very much appreciate your help! Thank you!!!

Marieke H reacted to Barry Krebs in Inadmissible after green card recieved
We all have issues. I've been living in the US for 28 years to a wife who has a lot of health problems-she was born in the US. Why am I still married to her? Because we are best friends and are in love. I take sickness and health seriously.

How desperately sad for this poor woman. I hope wherever she ends up she finds the support and help her husband can’t or won’t provide.
