My husband’s earliest date to file was 12/4, I mailed the packet on 12/6, and got a text notice today (12/9) that we are assigned to Nebraska Service Center (LIN)… again! Lol, that’s where our initial I-130 was processed. 15-31 mos wait time, according to the website. May the odds be ever in your favor!

Do a "Print to PDF" at home after filling out the form.  That will produce a second PDF.  Print that at a staples, office depot or office Max.  Without a barcode your package might get returned.

You need the barcode or they will reject it because the form won’t be complete. It’s ok to send handwritten answers on your form. Just use a black pen like the instructions say.  I had to do it too. I tried different printers and what I wrote on the forms would just not print.

I used the credit card payment option for my I-751 last week! It was super convenient in the fact that I could see the pending charge immediately once USCIS was finally getting to my package, and I don’t mind the cash back rewards I get from using my credit card. The form to fill out for credit card payment was very simple to fill out.

For my K1 and AOS I had used a check for them, but now that I’ve used the credit card option, I prefer the credit payment option. I would double check on the USCIS website for how to write the check if you choose that option ☺️

I have no solid advice, but you seem like a caring person, and an honest one.  Your mistake I guess is your age and inexperience with immigration laws at that time.  We all were at one point in time.    One thing in advice,   Never say "I can't".. but "What can I do to make this work for us".. You will come up with the answer when you change your mindset  from the "poor me" syndrome.    I listen to radio on my headset when I work (I work at home, so I am a cool boss),  anyways, I was listening to the Mike Gallagher show, and he was advertising for "My Pillow". (Yes, I have them),, and he said that Mike Lindell, the inventor of My Pillow , at one time was a crack addict.  Turned his life around and now a multi multi millionaire.  We all struggle at times.  Be thankful for what you DO have in your life at the time, and think of how to make it better.  You can do it.

Definitely, call the Social Security office and tell them. Don't decide, on your own, which card to use. Let them tell you which one is valid. If it's the first one, you can ask them to send you another card with the correct name.

Everyone should have one number and only one number,  it will make getting benefits difficult if one number was used and the other number is used at Social Security, everything is connected to your SSN retirement, disability, getting a job, getting a house,....I guess you can use the number with the correct name going forward but let them know about the duplicate one.  When doing official stuff use one number only.

IRS finally accepted ours. I put his middle name & last name (social security only has half of his last name on the card ) as written on SSN as his last name & got accepted

I think everyone takes whatever they feel comfortable with. We are going to our interview next month and we are taking everything from the k1. I would rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. The letter tells you what to bring, but we would rather err on the side of caution.

Her income wont be input on his I864.
Only if it was, would an I864a be filled out.
I suggest the I864 instructions and I864 form as a necessary read before beginning.
EAD and AP and AOS are separate but parallel processes.
An RFE on any delays all.

You'll need his proof of USC or LPR status AND his earnings statement as well if you are submitting the Return Transcript if they filed as Married Filing Jointly last year (or for any of the three years prior of which that you are OPTIONALLY submitting those tax Transcripts as well).
See the I864 instructions in the Tax Return section.

ujones reacted to USS_Voyager in AOS denied due to missing supporting Affidavit Of Support documents.
No need to freak out, everything is going to be ok. Just to be clear, the I-485 was denied because you did not file the I-864 to go with it? Or you did file the I-864 but no evidence (taxes, paystubs, ... ) to support it?

Anyway, the fix it to file another I-485 /I-131/I765 this time with the appropriate I-864 and supporting documents. Nothing has changed, you're still a spouse of a US citizen. Your entire stay was authorized. As long as there is a pending I-485 for you, you are in a period of authorized stay.

Unfortunately, the mistake has costed you guys more money and time. Fortunately, that's all it is, just money and time. I don't think you're at risk of being deported, as long as you file another I-485 within 30 days.

There is no such requirement that she has to live with her in-laws after marriage, as far the US is concerned. She is free to live wherever she wants to live.

Medicare is health insurance that’s only available to elderly & disabled. No state offer medicare to anyone else. If it’s medicaid you are talking about then when you go thru market place if your immigration status won’t qualify you for medicaid ( LPR less than 5yrs ) then that part is skipped automatically ... that’s how it’s atleast in our state. You hve to provide documents proving ur immigration status
