I would disagree with that but that's a different story.

Do not file without joint sponsor. It's a requirement not a recommendation. RFE's are a pain in the rear you don't wanna deal with them.

You are a permanent resident. Subway and all other large franchises use e-verify system that can tell them whether you are authorized to work in the U.S. Your authorization is not a problem at all.
I don't know about Michigan but here in Central NJ there are 3 minimum wage jobs for every person willing to work them. It used to be bad a few years ago but the economy is better now and you should have ZERO troubles finding a minimum wage job.
My advise is to hit every retail store you are ready to work at and ask point blank if they have jobs. If they are not used to seeing foreigners, take your husband with you for some credibility. Make sure you do the talking though cause they wanna see that you are interested. Applying online doesn't work as well as doing what I just said.
These jobs have very high turnover rates so they just want to hire people who will stick around for at least a few months.

IguanaCouple got a reaction from sherryandyashpal in Issue about our age difference for K1(finccee ) visa
My advise to you is to get married in India and to live with her for a few years.
That way you will have enough evidence and can file for a CR-1 which is a visa for married couples. Immigration is a very expensive process in terms of money AND time. In my opinion, you will have a very hard time getting a K-1 visa after just 1 or 2 or 3 visits as COs also care about how much time you've spent living together. Your age gap is a huge red flag for that part of the world as having biological children from a marriage is a cultural expectation among other things.
I would also highly recommend that your girlfriend post on this forum so she can learn about the process.
Initially, she will be the one doing all the paper work from the U.S. so she needs to know what she's getting into.

You'll need evidence of bona fide mariage while filing for 10 year green card. The process is called Removal of conditions (ROC). When you file for ROC you will get a divorce waiver to file singly and you have to provide evidence that your marriage was bona fide. Do a search on the forum for what kind of evidence you will require.
Marriage to another US citizen will not help you with your ROC application. You will still have to do it singly.
You are not even divorced, yet and you're already thinking about another marriage?

You're fine lots of parents don't approve of their children's marriage choices it's no biggie. Just make sure she doesn't lie during the interview IF the question were to come up somehow.
    For eg:
CO: Have you met his parents?
Your fiancee: I've skyped with his dad but I haven't skyped with his mom. She's not exactly very fond of me.
    CO: And why is that?
Your fiancee: His mom is Russian and I'm Romanian and she doesn't have a very high opinion of us "Gypsies". (Sticks her tongue out)
    CO: (Wry smile) Approved.

Your wife adjusted from B1. B1s are a tourist visa and not meant for marriage and as a matter of fact many people on here feel strongly about being allowed to AOS from B1.
B1 and F1 AOS's take longer than K-1 AOS, are de facto subject to more scrutiny and couples have had USCIS officials knock on their doors at 8am to check if there are 2 wet towels in the house.
No, you can't file a case against USCIS. The don't owe the beneficiary jack as they are not a citizen, yet and in any case, processing times are not guaranteed and immigration law is not contract law.
You can always renew her EAD and AP. I don't see why you need a lawyer unless you have some other complications.
You had an interview; everything went well. You have contacted the congressman and senator. There's nothing else you can do. You wait.

IguanaCouple got a reaction from Harpa Timsah in CAN GREEN CARD HOLDER GET STUDENT LOAN?
I'm sorry but you are wrong.
I have a car loan, term life insurance, and I used to have a boat loan and a private loan to the tune of $9k. Lenders do NOT discriminate between LPR and conditional LPR. In fact, they don't even seem to know such a distinction exists.
The status BY DEFINITION is PERMANENT. There is no such thing as non-permanent permanent.
Individual risks are evaluated differently of course but it's not based on conditional status. My lenders were more interested in how much money I made, how I made my money and what field I was getting my master's in than anything else and they never ever bothered to ask if the green card is conditional or what not.
When they see my federal and state student loans in my credit report, they know if the Big Kahuna U.S. government is lending me $60k I'm not gonna be deported anywhere anytime soon.

Marijuana is a Schedule I drug - the same as heroin. Regarding federal visa/immigration law, best not to listen to people advocating marijuana as something acceptable in the USA. It is not. If you use, you lose. We don't need more druggies in the USA - we have enough.

California is marijuana-friendly because there's a lot of potheads there? And that should somehow help their case?
Marijuana is a narcotic and it's illegal. PERIOD. It doesn't matter what states legalize its use, it's a federal crime and an immigrant who uses marijuana should be viewed as such.

USCIS only cares if a marriage was entered in good faith; not if it was entered in 'mistaken good faith'. She expected OP to send more money to her parents; didn't happen and now she is out there working it off. God knows what she is having to do to work it off.
Not marriage fraud nothing to report.
She left to make money for her parents; it's up to the OP to decide whether he wants to work this out or get a divorce.

I guess my question for you is, why should the American tax payers pay for YOUR medicals and police clearance? If not the tax payers, who is going to pay for it?
Secondly, how can a visa be guaranteed just because you spent $1000 on police clearance and medicals? Then every Tom, DYCK and Harry who wants to get a green card will simply get a medical and police clearance done and claim that he's now entitled to a green card regardless of whether his application is legitimate or not. Do you see the loophole in your argument?
Moving to the U.S. is not a right even if your family is here. It's a privilege and you are expected to work for it.
Now if it's a petition about fixing processing times I'd sign up for it. If they are short of man power they should effing hire more people and if they'd like to charge me more for my K-1 or AOS or ROC I'd gladly pay them so at least I know they will process my paperwork on time.
