Has anyone been able to schedule interview at US consulate in Lagos, Nigeria recently?. I've been trying to schedule for the past 48 hours but all I get is "no available appointments". What is the best time to check the website?

Thanks. I hope we get ours this week! 🤞

It’s been day 52 since my RFE response was received (August 31st). The website is still not updated that I was approved. A tier 2 told me a determination was made on my case on September 9th but it wasn’t showing as an approval. Meanwhile, my case is already at the embassy and we are about to schedule an interview but I still haven’t received an NOA2.

Got the "READY" status today from NVC and was finally able to book medical and the interview. Completed DS-160, booked Medical on Oct 24, and Interview on November 2nd! I fly down to Lima on Nov 1 and will stay until the Visa comes. No return plane ticket booked lol. We will fly back together. Woo Hoo!
Are you guys going to the interview together?

Everything what @ChuAni said is true...They didn't look at any of our chats or call logs in his presence, but did asked to see pictures...However, I was told they look at evidence prior to interview, but please don't worry yourself...You will be fine! We were approved this past Monday and hubby went and picked up his visa and documents on Friday which was indeed pretty quick..Lately, the Lagos Embassy has been easy breezy...You are going to be fine...You got this...Wishing you well on your journey!
Did you guys go to the interview together? I'll be in Nigeria when my fiance will be interviewed and I'm wondering if I can go with her.

Here is an advance copy of the Medical instructions and your P3 from your Embassy. Please read this information as it will answer many questions.

Our case is now "ready". Are there documents (like the P3) that will be sent to my fiance (in Nigeria) by mail ? Can I go with my fiance to the interview if I happen to be in the country at the time? I am the one filling the ds 160 on her behalf, must I include her picture or that part can be included at the embassy? Thank you

My status as at yesterday was "in transit". I tried to check now but all I got was "Invalid Application ID or Case Number.". Does this normally happen with the website? before i start freaking out.
Edit: Never mind, I did't realize I selected "nonimmigrant visa" instead of "immigrant visa". My case is now Ready

Looks like you have an approval. BTW the link in the email is wrong. You need to change the Kl to a K1 (that's K-ONE not L).

What petition did you file for? And wow an RFE but no update since weird? But just do your regular processing going forward. NOA2 not needed just your interview letter
It’s a K1. I called uscis today and was still told my case is pending. I wanted to speak to tier2 but got disconnected. I’ll try again though. Thank you

Update: Interview booked for November 14th (21st & 27th were other open dates for November).
We are also “in transit”. What document do you need before you can book medical appointment? I’ve only filled out da 160 but we are yet to pay for visa.

I’ll talk to a tier 2 tomorrow. Thanks

Did you call uscis to ask about your approval? Even hardcopy you didn’t receive any? I’m worried they will send back your paper to uscis for approval.. hopefully that won’t happen..
Hopefully not. The letter from NVC says they received my approved I129F. I’ll call them again tomorrow. I read something like this happens rarely.

Oh not yet. Just given the case number today. For sure in the coming days it will be in transit already..
How about yours? Has it left nvc yet?
Yes. It’s already “in transit” to the embassy and I’ve been waiting for NOA2 all this time. Website doesn’t say approved and tie 1 didn’t even tell me anything about approval.

That’s great! Glad we are moving forward. I don’t know how it works without an NOA2 though. I don’t know if the embassy will send another one with my packet.

I, the petitioner, got an email earlier today from NVC that my case has now been forwarded to US embassy in Nigeria. A case number is already assigned and status shows "in transit". Meanwhile, I've not received an NOA2 and USCIS website still shows "Response to USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received". I called USCIS 3 days ago but was not given any update about an approval. The tier 2 even had to send a service request on my behalf. Can we attend the visa interview without an NOA2 or will another copy be sent to me at one point during the process or I have to request it?. Thank you

Today, I got an email from NVC (with my case number) that my case has now been forwarded to the US embassy in Nigeria. Meanwhile, no update on old and new websites that my K1 was approved. I called uscis two days ago and was told that the was case is pending and I check my mails everyday for NOA2, nothing came in.

It’s day 47 after RFE response was received and I’ve been worried that my case is yet to be approved. I’ve called USCIS several times and I’ve sent a case inquiry through a tier 1 agent. I check both old and new websites almost on a daily basis with no update whatsoever. I check my mails everyday wondering if probably the website is not up to date on approved cases. I was suprised when I got an email from NVC that my case has been received and a case number has been assigned! 😃. I’m excited and puzzled at the same time. Now I’ll have to deal with uscis about getting my noa2. Good luck to everyone yet to be approved.

I’m still waiting. It’s been 41 days since my RFE response was received. Still nothing yet.

Thanks! I think about you every day; we have the exact same dates, and every day I've spent hoping for our approval I have been hoping for yours as well. Hang in there, I know it's rough. 🌻
It’s day 40 for me since uscis received my RFE response. I feel like they’ve forgotten about my case.

May I ask what your RFE was in response to?
They wanted more evidence of meeting in person. I sent more pictures, tickets and every other documents I could get.

So the first post in this thread says that RFE response processing takes about 2 weeks on average, but that was last updated in 2015. I assume it takes longer now, but do we have any solid data on how much longer?
According to uscis, RFE response processing is can take up to 60 days. Some get approved within a week or two after their RFE responses are received but that longer. It’s been 36 days since my RFE response was received and I’m still waiting. I’ve called a number of times but was told to keep waiting that it’s not yet 60 days.

And @iwir is still waiting for any news. We're still waiting for rfe hard copy *twiddles thumbs*
I hope we all hear something soon. Some of us waiting on approval after replying to RFE, those waiting on their RFE hard copy and those that are yet to get any response whatsoever. It can be very frustrating but let’s hang in there, our time will be here.
