Wow we just had the question asked last week and it was for the same Embassy. Isn't that a hoot. So here is the answer there are no interview dates for Nigeria at this time. They are hard to come by and there isn't anyone who can tell you when they will be available. You need to check the website throughout the day for changes/cancellations. If someone cancels (yes Maggy they do cancel their appointments) then grap their appointment slot.

I'm going to give you a tool that you may want to try. This little software tool was used to get appointments during the expedited Typhoon Yolanda Philippine applicants when there were no appointments showing, and when one appeared it was snapped up pretty fast.  So, others began using this little gem and were able to get appointments faster than others. Keep in mind this is about 5 years ago so your mileage may vary.

I recommend using c4c (check4change at http://www.check4change.com/ ) with a refreshing window every 4 seconds from the dashboard using custom menu of c4c to nab an appointment that comes available.  The software will check for any changes on the website for the time you choose to set. I used 4 seconds.

If you do not have Firefox installed you can get a copy here for free: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/  Yes, install Firefox just to use c4c coz the add-on for Chrome and Internet Explore (IE) didn't really work that well. I tried them on a test website before using it grab a new date or for some any date, just to see how the add on works.

My laptop was on all night long every night for the last 4 nights, it got me up couple times but the dates didn't fit my scheduling. Soon as there is a change on the scheduling website the music will start and you can book it if you like the date. With this system the booking process is 10 seconds from the time a new date is available. Just push continue, the calendar will appear, select the date you want and click "schedule". And now you have a interview date scheduled.

    Good luck.

Thank you very much for your help.  I've been searching several forums for answers with no luck. I try not to post every question here.

We're still waiting. They received ours on the 5th. 😢 Was the website updated for you guys or did you just get it in the mail?

It’s been day 52 since my RFE response was received (August 31st). The website is still not updated that I was approved. A tier 2 told me a determination was made on my case on September 9th but it wasn’t showing as an approval. Meanwhile, my case is already at the embassy and we are about to schedule an interview but I still haven’t received an NOA2.

Got the "READY" status today from NVC and was finally able to book medical and the interview. Completed DS-160, booked Medical on Oct 24, and Interview on November 2nd!  I fly down to Lima on Nov 1 and will stay until the Visa comes. No return plane ticket booked lol. We will fly back together. Woo Hoo!

Are you guys going to the interview together?

Everything what @ChuAni said is true...They didn't look at any of our chats or call logs in his presence, but did asked to see pictures...However, I was told they look at evidence prior to interview, but please don't worry yourself...You will be fine! We were approved this past Monday and hubby went and picked up his visa and documents on Friday which was indeed pretty quick..Lately, the Lagos Embassy has been easy breezy...You are going to be fine...You got this...Wishing you well on your journey!

Did you guys go to the interview together? I'll be in Nigeria when my fiance will be interviewed and I'm wondering if I can go with her.

Here is an advance copy of the Medical instructions and your P3 from your Embassy. Please read this information as it will answer many questions.

Our case is now "ready". Are there documents (like the P3) that will be sent to my fiance (in Nigeria) by mail ? Can I go with my fiance to the interview if I happen to be in the country at the time? I am the one filling the ds 160 on her behalf, must I include her picture or that part can be included at the embassy? Thank you

Looks like you have an approval. BTW the link in the email is wrong. You need to change the Kl to a K1 (that's K-ONE not L).

  7. I, the petitioner, got an email earlier today from NVC that my case has now been forwarded to US embassy in Nigeria. A case number is already assigned and status shows "in transit". Meanwhile, I've not received an NOA2 and USCIS website still shows "Response to USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received". I called USCIS 3 days ago but was not given any update about an approval. The tier 2 even had to send a service request on my behalf. Can we attend the visa interview without an NOA2 or will another copy be sent to me at one point during the process or I have to request it?. Thank you

So the first post in this thread says that RFE response processing takes about 2 weeks on average, but that was last updated in 2015. I assume it takes longer now, but do we have any solid data on how much longer?

According to uscis, RFE response processing is can take up to 60 days. Some get approved within a week or two after their RFE responses are received but that longer. It’s been 36 days since my RFE response was received and I’m still waiting. I’ve called a number of times but was told to keep waiting that it’s not yet 60 days.

And @iwir is still waiting for any news. We're still waiting for rfe hard copy *twiddles thumbs*

I hope we all hear something soon. Some of us waiting on approval after replying to RFE, those waiting on their RFE hard copy and those that are yet to get any response whatsoever. It can be very frustrating but let’s hang in there, our time will be here.
