I would say a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks if you hit all the steps right. 2 weeks to get case number from NVC, and if case reaches embassy in Lagos with days, you can do a walk in medical exam without making an appointment, one of the two doctors in Lagos takes walk in appointments. it takes 7 to 10 days to get the slipped results for the medical exam. Once the case reaches Lagos, you can schedule your interview date, which should be two weeks out from the date you will be completing your medical exam. after your interview, if you are approved, you will be told on the spot and your visa should be ready in 3 to 5 days after the interview at the DHL office.

Thank you, that was so detailed.

Yes must be separate.  One LOI will generate an RFE

I guess I should be expecting an RFE. I only sent one LOI with both of our names and our signatures. I’ll be glad if I even get an RFE at this point at least I’ll know they are working on my case. Maybe the fact that we have a child together (who was listed on my N400 and on I12F) who is expected to get a k2 might not generate an RFE, fingers crossed.

thank you for your prayers and I stand in agreement Bestie @Deehotstepper I know this coming week has to be my week and wouldn't that be wonderful if I could make that date! I would love for my baby to be here by the end of September I stand in agreement with you my friend! how are you coming along in the next phase? how are the interview dates in Naija? I hope they are not far out........

Roughly how long does it take to get visa (9ja precisely) in hand after NOA2. I’m still waiting on NOA2 (January 10 old and 12th new site). Hopefully we get something coming week.

Hopefully we get our approvals in this new week. I’m getting tired of checking uscis website on a daily basis and see nothing. Let’s remain hopefully, our time is almost here.

  6. Congratulations to all those that have been approved and those recently approved this week. I don’t know if it’s just my case (K1 for my fiancé and K2 for our child) or there are people in the same situation? January 10th on old and 12th on the new site but I’m yet to see any update. I’m active duty military and was thinking that would make any difference but I guess it doesn’t.

Peeps xx Finally I got approved. My NOA1 is Jan4.NOA2 is July 24:))Wish you guys best .BTW what’s next? How to find out NVC number 🤣

Congratulations! Jan 10th (old site) and Jan 12th (new site) still waiting and hopefully it comes soon. Did you get a text message or email about the approval before you checked? And was it just approved few minutes ago?

  8. I-129F was mailed out January 10th and was received by January 12th 2018. NOA was mailed out few days after that and since then, the online status has been “we received your application”. Read that waiting time for California service Centre is about 5-7 month and I’m approaching the 7 month mark. Just wondering if any January filer in California service Centre has been approved yet.

  9. My fellow Naija peeps...im interested in joining the navy too and I have been in contact with a recruiter ..please can anyone give me the idea of how the whole process go through ..

I proud of my Naija dude ..we are everywhere and we are progressing ...I'm also waiting for my interview date too with uscis ..

Can someone tell me how the test go thru

I do not really know how long the navy enlistment process takes, but as for the Army, everyone's case is different. Without any medical or legal issue, the process takes roughly 3 to 4 weeks. The interview will go well, they will ask you questions to know how real your marriage is. As a couple, you should not have problems with these. I wish you good luck in your enlistment and your interview.

Glad to meet my naija people here, can 36 join army?

No the enlistment age is 34, you have to be able to ship to basic training before your 34th birthday.

You'll be able to start your naturalization process once you start the bootcamp, right?

Also if you don't mind, how many years is the contract?

For Navy boot camp I really do not know, but for Army basic training, yes you turn in your naturalization papers in basic and possibly be naturalized by the end of basic or during AIT.

  11. Kool. So you can run the 2 miles in 17mins or less... right?

I'm having serious issues with the 2mile run stuff.

Yea man. I run 2 miles in 15.30 at least thats my best so far. Still working on improving it though. How long does it take you?

You need to just keep pushing man. The more you run the better you get...but try not to hurt yourself before your ship date though.
