You should follow the instructions in your interview letter.
No but you do need to answer the "criminal" question on the N-400.
The form instructions are very clear on what to submit for a 3 year N-400.
Consider updating your profile / timeline on this site so you can get answers based on your circumstance. If you were a K1 and AOS'ed your spouse may not be needed for the interview - but always follow what is in the letter.

I highly doubt you need to bring anything other than what is on the list. It does say that if you sent in copies of something you should bring your originals. I brought all of the items that were on the list and they only checked the letter, passport and green card. In my case they didn't even ask for my husband's birth certificate. You'll just answer the civics questions, read and write as well as confirm some things in your application. you already sent in the tax transcripts etc right? They already have it.

They happened to have a spot open in the afternoon. The fact that yesterday was last day to register to vote might have been a factor as well.

Thanks so much! We got in touch with Congresswoman Wexton's office in Sterling and they said they would reach out to USCIS for us. Praying we get clarity soon... it's been so tiring and stressful.

Finally I can share my interview experience.
The interview was super easy and the officer was very professional and friendly. My appointment was 2:30p today and I got out there by 2:40! However, I wasn't able to get oath done today as I requested a name change which needs to be sent to court for approval.
My notice letter said I should get there 15mins before my interview. Another guy's said 30mins. But when we got there, we were told 10mins.
The only documents they asked from me were the interview notice letter and my GC.
The officer spent more time on confirming my basic info -
- name, DOB, marital status, & # of kids
- current address, how long I have been living at this address, & phone #
- where do i work and how long have I been with the company
- name I want to change to
She also asked me if I have even been outside US for 6 mons or longer. I told her no but I had a trip after submitted my application. She asked me whether it was over 6 mons and my answer was no. She then said never mind.
She didn't ask me any Q's about previous addresses or employment. She did, however, show me that she crossed out the unemployment line I put down. When I filled out the form online, the system didnt allow me to have a 2-week gap. So I had to put that down as unemployment.
Civics test Q's include -
- what did Emancipation Proclamation do
- who is the president
- who is the vice president
- how many justices are in the Supreme Court
- when was the Constitution written
- I dont recall the 6th question. I am not even sure whether there was a 6th one
Reading - How many senators do we have
Writing - We have one hundred senators
She went over those Yes/No questions very fast. My memory is vague and am not sure whether she asked all questions or combined some questions. I did tell her I had a traffic ticket but wasn't sure whether I should write it down. She asked if it cost me more than $500. I told her no. She said some traffic tickets matter while some don't. "what was your story". After hearing my story she said no need to put it there.
She did go over the Oath of Allegiance part very thorough.
The whole process was a great experience. We had small talks during the interview. At the end she remind me to keep a copy when I receive a form from them, sign and return to them.

Good luck! My wife's interview is on September 25 and Last day to register to vote is October 5. We are hoping for an oath ceremony in time to register to vote.

I'm a little annoyed with USCIS. They have scheduled my interview for October 13. October 13 is the last day to register to vote in Virginia.

Unidentified reacted to NancyNguyen in K1 after annulment in NY
You are the reason why the immigration becomes harder and harder, there is no such help, it is fraud and I wish it will come back to you.
-
Unidentified reacted to Unlockable in K1 after annulment in NY
I'm sorry but every explanation you have said has dug a deeper hole.
First you said you married a friend to help her get documents.
Then you said you married someone you wasn't in love with.
Then you admitted that your ex was never serious with you.
Look, all we are doing is acting like we are the ones reviewing your case. If you think we are being tough on you then wait until an immigration officer is looking for any reason to deny a visa.
Like someone already mentioned, the reason it will be a problem is because it looks like you helped someone commit fraud. Perception holds a lot of weight with immigration and if you give an officer any suspicion your fiance will not be getting a visa anytime soon.

The marriage was legit... but you were never serious. That does not sound "legit".
Most people do not marry "friends" to "help them get documents" - getting married to circumvent immigration law is not exactly legit.

The problem is you helped someone commit immigration fraud. I don’t see how you don’t see that’s the problem. How do you prove that isn’t the case with this one?

Unidentified reacted to J&A1234 in Leaving the US after K1
That is not correct. You could get married in Finland and file for the CR1. I’m not 100% sure but I think technically he could come under the visa waiver, get married, then depart. All you’re doing by adding the K1 visa process is adding $535 fee plus round trip tickets for him plus an extra 7-12 months of waiting time.

Why don’t you guys just get married now and apply for the CR1 visa? Doesn’t make much sense to me to get involved with the K1 at all.

Unidentified reacted to aaron2020 in Please Help!!! Received 10 year GC but N400 DENIED
Please read the instructions for form N-400.
It's 5 years of having a green card; i.e. being an LPR. There's no distinction between the 10 years GC or 2 years GC.

Unidentified reacted to Lucky2Lucky in Please Help!!! Received 10 year GC but N400 DENIED
What would they appeal? You have to be living together which they are not; it was rightfully denied. Once she hits the 5 year mark she can apply for naturalization based on her own accord. She did not meet the requirements under the 3 year rule.
