Haha nah thanks. I called them as soon as I made that comment and it got moved for me to the 3rd of August! Thanks goodness!
one more question? If I present my uncles statement of account and utility bills just to show that he's my sole sponsor in the U.K. but said that my boyfriend is the one paying for this trip, will that be a problem?
Cause i stated on my application form that my boyfriend is the one paying for the trip. but I wouldn't wanna ask him to give me his statement of account cause I feel like that would be awkward me asking for his details.
Why would you book flight and hotel before getting the visa?
Your financial situation is a big red flag, after seeing you cannot support yourself in the UK, cannot support yourself in the USA, I can't imagine the CO granting you the visa.

The title of the thread reads that she's applying for a tourist visa...if that's the case, she is required to show documentation along with her application to prove she is not intending to illegally overstay in the US with the boyfriend.
Nope, no documents are required, as Boiler points out they are rarely looked at. Theres a difference between bringing documents just in case they are asked for, and them being required.
OP there is not much you can do apart from take whatever evidence you have and hope for the best.

Thanks. Hmmmm, I wouldn't think one visit a year to 4 college buddies constituted a lot of US ties. And it wasn't the focus of their questions during the follow up interview. I don't really have a few years to wait as far as work is concerned. I need the best possible situation so I can hopefully get the visa I need to travel for work.
I doubt you will be getting it any time soon, best to tell your employer now.

at least i can send them my documents right from my pay stubs to tax papers, bank statements etc. my father got 1 paper from government office which states that he got 4 land worth more than 80,00,000Npr that means 80,000$. is that enough for my mother and father? what else documents should they take? there are many websites which says you need to file i-134 affidavit of support. thanks guys for the reply.
NO. Your documents etc are useless.
Let them take whatever they want to the interview that is theirs.

i dont know what should i do. i am sending my every documents, pay stubs, tax papers, bank statements to my parents. i have around like 5-6000$ with me. and they are taking their papers, if necessary they will show their finance. my father have arround like 80,000$ worth of land which is in his name. he is taking that paper with him. while looking on websites it says you need to file i-134 affidavit of support. so i am filling the form as i am giving every description abt my finance.
What website tell you this? It is complete rubbish. You do not need to do anything.
The applicant applies on their own merits, nothing to do with you.

Documents are not expected to be looked at, why would they?
Your spouses answers on the DS160 and to the questions at the interview did not show sufficient ties to their home country, thats it really.
What country are they from? What ties do they have? Previous travel abroad?

Hi, thanks for your reply! What documents do you think I can bring to prove this information? I don't want to seem too overwhelming, but I definitely don't want to be unprepared.
I brought payslips, letter from my work, contract, previous passports with stamps.
None of it was looked at. I was approved.
More important is the answers to their questions

Okay thanks! My sister was granted a b2 extension last year but I just feel like I want to know more before we take our chance.
Go for it.
Make sure you mention looking after kids as the reason for your extension request.

He applies for a B2, may need a waiver which takes a few months.
Nothing else to do.

Okay guys. Also can I land at LAX airport and then take a domestic flight to Chicago? I see the tickets are much cheaper for Los Angeles.
Yes you can do that.
Do not book anything until you actually have the visa in your hand.

With no previous travel history your chances are not good.

Just wanted to travel (I love traveling) and I do not want to miss the opportunity to travel with my friend (she is from other country).
The officer mentioned about financial so I thought it's probably due to the low balance in my acc during the first time?
Pick another country? A lot of places are better than the USA.

You sound very desperate to go to the USA.
Why are you so desperate?
Doesnt sound like your circumstances have changed, will be easy decision for a 3rd denial.

If you have a visa to the US I am sure that helps getting one to Canada.
I visited Toronto for the weekend while in NYC on my B2 and got sent to secondary and asked more questions than I ever did when visiting the USA.

They only ask for fingerprints, which Im assuming she still has?

God, you people are so down right rude and negative. I'm sorry I even posted on this forum thinking I'll get help.
JFH, yes my husband is a grown man,its called supporting your husband.
az2014, read my question, I applied for a ds160, so I will be attending an interview also. Nowhere does it say that a VWP cannot apply for a B1/2. Actually I found the following statement:
Travelers who are eligible for the VWP may apply for a visitor (B) visa, if they prefer to do so.
Boiler: you probably understood what I meant but still needed to correct me. For your information:
They are effectively the same thing. British National is the broad category, and a British Citizen is a specific type of British National. It is the only type with a "right to abode".
Signing off now.
Maybe because we have been there, done that, so know what we are talking about.
Go ahead to the interview, let us know the result.

az2014, reason being that my husband has to be interviewed and I want to attend the interview with him.
Thanks for your reply Millefleur.
That makes no sense.
Just because you have also applied for a tourist visa, doesnt mean you will be attending his interview with him; you won't.
Also as you are already VWP eligible they will most likely deny your B2 application. You will then need to state this denial when you apply for ESTA and any subsequent visa, for life. ESTA will then likely be denied and you won't be travelling anywhere any time soon.
The odds are definitely not in your favour.

2 days ESTA overstay
in Tourist Visas
Posted
All the talk of ESTA is pointless, as the OP is no longer eligible to travel under the VWP, for life.
