I'll try calling again mon , I've asked for a supervisor a couple of times but there never seems to be one available ! But that's for info, much appreciated 😀
I found calling at night after 8pm CST worked best for me. The wait time was short. The time I got to speak to a supervisor was when I called around 5:30pm.

Hi Everyone,
I know it has been a while. My husband and I are doing wonderful! We spent the Thanksgiving holidays with my family and they truly welcomed him with open arms and they are truly amazed by his accent when he speaks English. That's because majority of them have never been outside of the country or the state. LOL!
He has received his social security card in the mail. It was very interesting to me how they have in bold letters that he is not authorized to work until DHS approves. We have begun filling out the AOS forms and its been grueling and time consuming but we are getting through it. We will be sending it off in about two weeks. I hope many of you will be AOSing with us in December.
Well today we embracing the Christmas holiday season. We are decorating the tree, putting up stockings and hanging lights and garland. When we finish, I'll post a pic. I'm so happy to have my love finally with me. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of my sleep and just touch him to make sure it's all real and I'm not dreaming. For those of you that's still waiting, please stay positive and focused and know that it will be all worth it.

Hi Aprilites, hoping someone can me?
Im a may filer , Noa1 May 5th , Noa2 Oct 6th, NVC received Oct 19th , case no Oct 20th..
we have been put under AP for 6 weeks , administrative Process.
Has anyone else been under AP for more than 6 weeks?
There is no time frame they say for this . I'm really worried !
Hi,
We were in a similar situation when our case was at the NVC for approximately 4 weeks. I finally called and asked for a supervisor. I mentioned to the supervisor that my K1 case has been there for almost a month now and I'm curious to know if my case has been misplaced because I see other cases going thru within two or three days. The supervisor placed me on hold and returned to the phone to inform me that my case looks fine and has completed the necessary re-checks that were done to ensure all is good with my case. The next day when I check CEAC status, my case was in transit. So you can try calling and listening to the first person quote the things they normally say and then request a supervisor. It's worth a try. Good luck on your journey!

Wow! We are so happy. I'm finally with the love of my life. This journey has been a very trying one, but I thank God for the strength he gave both of us to persevere! POE in Houston, Texas was on November 9th. Went very smoothly. They held him for about an hour. While waiting, the officer asked him to translate for a young lady that didn't know much English, then immediately the officer let him thru.
Finally all together as a family! Congratulations to everyone for all the progress in your journeys!

2 days 21 hours 22 minutes and 17 secs until my honey lands here in Houston, TX. I'm so excited to finally begin our lives living together! 9 days until we are lovely husband and wife! I'm ready to say "I DO" to the love of my life. I thank God everyday for creating him just for me. I'm so so grateful! I hope to see you all in the AOS forum soon! Happy journeys to everyone. I was thinking that once we are settled in, all is Aprilites will have to meet face to face and celebrate our unique love journeys!

We are still under Administrative Processing. They asked us both questions separately and of course my responses matched. We have generated over 5000 pages of chat (seriously), we ought to know a little about each other by now, hehe, not to mention all the video chat. The case has updated twice since the interview on Tuesday. I think they are getting information regarding Alina's daughter's biological father or trying to find him since they have no contact.
Did they say anything at the end of the interview? Did they keep her passport?

Second interview tomorrow, however this time it is for her 4 year old daughter. It did not occur to me that they would want to meet with her since she is 4. However, from what I have read this is pretty common and is most likely the cause of the delay; would have been nice to have that communicated. Either way, they want to conference me in so I will be joining them in the interview, hence I am feeling quite anxious.
This is a good sign. I haven't heard of this before. At least they are being very attentive to your case and I'm sure an approval is coming. They just want to make sure you and your fiance know all details about each other.

Apologies for the delay, I am very happy for you two, congratulations for sure.
Thank you so much! Our CEAC status went from 'Application Received' to 'Administrative Processing'. So now we are waiting for it to change to 'Visa Issued' so he can go pick it up. How's everything on your end. I read your post about the further research. Did you follow up?

Unfortunately my visa was denied today. My interview went well. I told the VO that i sent my fiancee some money for ticket to and visit me, she ask for the receipt which i gave it to her.. My fiancee forgot to send me the W2 and at the end the VO told me that she is not convinced and she believe that my fiancee does not have a job. My fiancee never new that they will ask for the W2 and that was why she didn't send it to me. My fiancee has contact the immigration lawyer today as regards my denial. Please advise on what i should do?
So sorry about this. I'm sad to read this. I truly hope the immigration lawyer can advise you accordingly. Good luck!

My fiance called me on the phone full of excitement after his interview. We are APPROVED! He said the Officer was real nice and very conversational. She said she would ask 4 questions and ended up asking him over 20 questions in a very subtle manner. Who petitioned you? What does she do? Has she ever been married? Kids? How old? Birthdays? What address will you live at in the US? When and how did you meet your fiance? What are your wedding plans? Why the courthouse? How many times has your fiance visited Nigeria? When did you get engage? What are the dates of your fiance's visit to Nigeria after you started dating? Asked for recent pictures. Pointed to my mom and asked who is this? Where's this located? Any pics including your family? Showed more pics. He told me that the waiting was very excruciating with all the different lines. He arrived an hour earlier at 6am for a 7am scheduled interview and didn't complete the interview process until 10:30am. I'm so glad to finished with the interview and now we wait for the visa to be in hand and then POE (Atlanta, GA).
Congratulations to everyone that is making progress with their K-1 Visa journey and my prayers are with those of you that are waiting for progress. Just know that it will come and that it's all worth it.

Hello friends, i have enrolled my visa application online and i paid my K1 visa fees today. I don't have any date for my interview yet . Please does any body have any idea what i should do...
For a K1 visa, you can go and schedule your interview yourself once the fee is paid. The embassy checklist for preparing for the interview is on the embassy/consulate website.

My prayers are with you and your loved one. I know that great news is just around the corner. I truly admire you all for your determination and dedication to understanding that you were destined to be together. One great fact that I know is that couples that make it through this k-1 process have a enormously high chance of staying together. A great foundation and understanding of each other takes place during this process. Also a tremendous amount of trust, loyalty and faith is built during this process. This yields a solid marriage that contains an awesome partnership between two people whose love goes way beyond the surface. I encourage you to stay focused on the prize and you will one day get to enjoy it. Be Blessed!

Today has been a good day, I was able to change my fiance's interview date from 11/21 to 10/17. I whimsically checked online for open dates this morning and was shocked to see interviews available for 10/17 and 10/24. Surprising because the embassy had pushed back on my Senator and Congressman advising there were no sooner dates available.
I'm so happy for y'all. We have the same interview date. We are ready to get our approval!

Well 30 days our case sat at NVC and finally I saw "In Transit". So glad that our case is finally on its way to the Consulate. On yesterday I called NVC to check the status of our case and the young lady said that it was undergoing 'necessary administrative processing'. I asked for more details as far a time frame is concerned and she said she did not have that information. Then I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager. She placed me on hold for about 3 minutes and returned to the phone to connect me to a supervisor/manager. I inquired about our case and why it's been at NVC for over a month for a K1 petition. I stated that I noticed that some cases have left NVC within 2 days. I also said I was concerned that our case would not make it to the consulate in time for the already scheduled interview. The young man then checked our case and informed me that administrative processing was complete on our case and everything looks good. He further explained that some case are reviewed in detail to make sure all information is accurate. Our case was signed off on yesterday and in transit today. I'm thankful that I called, because I believe it helped our case to come out of the NVC blackhole and move forward. Next step is the "Ready" status and then on to the interview next month. Congratulations to everyone for your progress and success. Best of luck to everyone still in the process!
