Please do not purchase flights til you have Visa in hand. It could backfire. You will go through Immigration at the first US airport he lands in. They will direct him on landing. You can not get out of the Locked down area till you go through immigration. He will not have to search out them they will funnel them to the proper areas.

From what I have seen on here. Potential interview waver cases can take a year from the date of the letter. Just because you got the letter does not mean it will be quicker. It all depends on each office that is dealing with the case. You will have to wait for an outcome.

You will get a regular mail letter for the AOS EAD and AP paperwork a different tracking number for each one. If you did the Electronic notification paperwok then you will get an e-mail for each of them If not wait for the Snail Mail.

Yes I think you are approved. On our aos from a K-1 we did the interview and with in 30 min the status was changed to Document production. Then it moved to decision. Interview on the 31st of Oct, We received the official letter in the mail today, This looks to be a normal transition. Now we wait for the green card to come in the mail.

This means that you are missing an item or items from the 130 Petition. You will be getting a hard copy in the mail of the RFE.. This will tell you what you are missing and give you a time frame to submit those items with the bar coded sheet they sent,. You need to respond with in the time frame they provided you. Please read the notice carefully and provide them what they need.

My wife and I did not have any issues with receiving the letters. They were quick and spot on. You will just have to wait you should hear something within the 6 weeks. For us it was like 2 weeks.

If the State dept site says the visa is issued. Then you are approved. They kept your passport and once the visa is printed and put in the passport the package will be forwarded to you via the chosen means.

On the ceac site select immigrant visa and enter the number you got from the NVC the GUZ number and it should give you the status. You have to use the Immigrant visa item. Give this a try and report back on issues or success.

I just went through this. Cal the NVC 603 334 0700 have all the info ready to verify who you are and they can tell you when the interview is scheduled and when the letter was put in the mail. It will be cheaper to have the USC make the call. If you have the info ready and are cordial you should have not problems. We were told the letter was put in the mail on the 29th of May and my lady got it on the 31st. No use in calling London. You can use the e-mail form but it takes about a week to receive an answer.

Yes since it is free please apply for it. You never know what will happen and if you need to go for an emergency you need to have it.

It's tough say really what USCIS will think of your situation, I think you said you have already filed for your boyfriend and you explained here you have been together a while already so that's understandable, I would just say you have to be prepared for scrutiny, because you filed so soon after getting your divorce and they might be suspicious of your relationship from the start.
There is also the issue of you marrying an illegal immigrant, that and you having an affair are probably things that may look suspicious or immigration may not look kindly on.
The age isn't usually an issue, me and my fiancé have a 13 year age gap, him being older than me and all we have left is our interview.
As I said it's really hard to determine whether your circumstances will be a problem because although they are tough with immigration, if enough evidence is provided that you have a genuine relationship then you might be okay. If you hadn't already filed, I would have recommended using a lawyer because they can be a real help with your kinds of cases.

Because of the DV process, it's quite common for someone to activate their green card by entering on an immigrant visa, going back home to wrap things up, and then move across to the US permanently some months later.Morpheus, firstly you don't need to ship it over if you have someone to keep it safe till you get back - your immigrant visa when stamped for entry becomes a temporary green card for a year and you can use that for re-entry into the US. If you do want the GC nevertheless before you return, reputable courier company like DHL or FedEx would be the way to go. (You are less interested in cheap than you are reliable. Do you know what the fee for replacing a lost green card is?)

Of course he can visit you while your I-129F is still processing. There are a lot success stories here about that. Just make sure when he brings all proof that he will be back to home country to finish all the process. Tell the truth and honest when they ask him at immigration line.
