Visa Photos?! Mine perfect from Walgreens... his... not so much

ARGH I AM SO FRUSTRATED! After waiting in the mail for my fiance's visa photos from Costa Rica I got them and they look great... until I put his next to mine. Mine were taken from Walgreens with a perfect white background and nice glossy finish... his has more of an off-white background and DEFINITELY not glossy compared to mine. And the skin tones and just quality of colors like crappy. Do I need to have him re-do these somewhere else and wait all over in the mail for them? Size wise I think they are perfect and match with mine but the quality looks really bad in comparison. I do NOT want an RFE for a stupid reason, but honestly, this is what the stupid "visa photo center" gave him.

Attached is a photo opinions please on whether or not his need to be redone? Thanks. Trying to keep my head up...

His Look fine in my opinion. I am sure they have seen worse. I would not stress on this. as long as they meet the size requirements. I don't think you have any issues.

i took mine in my husbands country and thought I was going to get a rfe for them because I thought they looked horrible colors was off and it looked like they did something to our faces because how clean it looked lol . but nope it was the right size and nothing was said we got approved.

Thanks guys I appreciate the feedback. Definitely feel better and will consider just using these. The only thing that maybe is a little off in size is that from his chin to the top of his hair it is about 1.5" not 1 3/8" like mine... so I guess if they take a ruler out and check this it is technically wrong, and his finish isn't "glossy" like mine.

The instructions on i-129F say: "Submit a passport style color photograph of yourself and a passport style color photograph of your beneficiary, with both photos taken within 30 days of filing this petition. The photos must have a white background, and be glossy, un-retouched, and be unmounted. The dimension of the full-frontal facial image should be about one inch from the chin up to the top of your hair. Using a pencil or pen, lightly print the name on the back of each photograph."

Perhaps being a but over-the-top perfectionist (lol) but just don't want to risk any problems! I guess I'll just have to take a leap of faith.

His photo looks fine. My fiance and I had our photos taken at the same place in Manila, but his has a whiter background than mine, and both are not very good quality when printed....but we used them and our petition was approved with no RFE.

I had the exact same worry, I took my photos in the UK and he took his in Japan (he's moving back to the US soon!). I was a bit concerned since his had this weird grey background, so very similar to your situation, but like everyone has said - it's fine. I got my I-129f approved :)

I agree with all the others who replied to your post that your fiancee's photo looks fine. In the unlikely event that he does need to have another photo taken, keep in mind that he can ask for a digital copy and email it to you. You can send digital copies off to Walgreens and pick up the prints within hours, thus avoiding the inherent delays in mailing them from Costa Rica.

Thank you everyone for your responses! I really appreciate it and especially those who have gone through similar situations and got approved, its just very reassuring. I'm going to go with the jury on this one that his photos are fine. :)
