VDH is always spot on with his analysis, and this one is no exception. The Addicted, Petty, and Hysterical Left In sum, the left wants no debate because they know voters have rejected what they saw and suffered during the last four years of the Biden administration. Forgetting nothing, learning nothing, like zombies, leftists keep screaming banalities. But like addicts and their feel-good fixes, their hysterics only further turn off the public as they destroy themselves. https://amgreatness.com/2025/01/23/the-addicted-petty-and-hysterical-left/

Hmm, those "progressive" left Danes could be very nasty. Why Greenland’s Independence Terrifies Europe The truth is that Denmark has many valid reasons to fear the resurgence of a separatist movement in Greenland. The otherwise peaceful and democratic Scandinavians subjected the inhabitants of Greenland to inhumane torture, humiliation, child abductions, forced sterilizations, and rapes. And we are not talking about centuries ago, but just a few years ago. So the memories of the Inuit who endured the horrors of Danish colonialists first-hand remain painfully vivid. It was only in the second half of the 20th century that at least three official programs from the Kingdom of Denmark came to light, each of which violated the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in Resolution 260 (III) A on December 9th, 1948. https://europeanconservative.com/articles/commentary/why-greenlands-independence-terrifies-europe/

DCF for contract work?
Dashinka replied to ViennaPete's topic in Direct Consular Filing (DCF) General Discussion
I should have deduced that from your screen name. So if you have a solid full-time offer, all you can do is contact the consulate in Vienna and see if they will take your I130. Here is another more recent case (Singapore) with someone in a similar situation. Good Luck! -
Did you already receive your passport? The naturalization certificate is returned separately, and sometimes that can take a while to make its way through the mail. I know it is a pain as you want to wrap up your name change on other documents, but give it more time before you decide to file an N565 to replace your certificate. Good Luck!

Hard to predict, but USCIS does seem to be increasing their efficiency, so maybe. Good Luck! -

WFH is really dependent on the situation of the individual. In my case, I can be very productive at home as I do not have any distractions such as small children, or other things. I did a study with some co-workers, and the results were mixed. I would say about 85% of those surveyed from my office wanted flexibility to WFH when needed, and the other 15% were either complete in office (too many distractions at home, having a need for some human contact, etc.), or complete WFH (no point going to the office to sit and look at their screen). I myself fall into the 85% as there is some value with in person collaboration, but there are a lot of tools if that is not possible. I like the flexibility, for instance today, we got 3-5 inches of snow in the AM, so why get on the roads to the office taking an extra 30-60 minutes to get to the office. Instead I was able to start working around 5am, and am now just taking a short break. I suggested to my wife that she should WFH today, but she decided to head to the office, it took her an extra 1.5 hrs to get there, essentially crawling at 25 mph. There is a bit of hypocrisy with the senior leadership at large global companies. They preach in person collaboration, but when it comes to collaborating with colleagues on the other side of the planet, we cannot travel there (even once or twice a year), but instead must use our collaboration tools provided by IT. -
DCF for contract work?
Dashinka replied to ViennaPete's topic in Direct Consular Filing (DCF) General Discussion
What country are you currently in? Have you already submitted an I130 for your spouse (if so, DCF is not an option)? If no I130 is currently pending with USCIS, DCF may be an option due to the USC needing to repatriate for a job. Here is a relatively recent thread showing a similar situation. This is in Japan, but the process should be similar where you contact the closest consulate to you and see if they are willing to accept an I130 filing from you for your spouse. Good Luck! -
Thanks for confirming, I suspected as much.

No, she was fine, but she had an ADIT stamp and a notice stating the card was taken, but in her case her card was taken prior to her N400 interview. You can request an ADIT stamp if you want.

They did this to my wife when she got her ADIT stamp after her CGC expired. Did the IO give you an affidavit attesting to the fact that they took your GC, and did they put an ADIT stamp in your passport?

So did Old Corrupt Petulant Joe pardon himself, or is he relying on his lack of mental competency to avoid criminal proceedings?

Maybe include a cover sheet explaining the issue when you respond to the RFE. Good Luck! -
Then all they can do is attend the interview and receive the instructions from the CO regarding biometrics. It may be a pain, and delay the visa issuance putting them in "Refused" status until the biometrics are complete, or possibly the CO will do the biometrics at the interview. Good Luck!

Common sense which appears to be lacking from the leftist MSM. P.S. sorry for the format of the headline, posting this from my phone. Climate Change Did Not Cause the LA Fires Emily Yoffe: Los Angeles is burning. President Joe Biden has said that climate change, which he just called the “single greatest existential threat to humanity,” is the cause. Many climate scientists agree with him. What do you say? Steve Koonin: Nonsense. While climate might be playing a minor role, by far the greatest factor affecting how much damage results from a fire is the fuel available to it. Have you cleared the brush and other vegetation or not? Also, there’s the infrastructure that you’ve built. Are the houses fireproof? How close are they together? If we want to avoid the kind of disasters we’ve just seen in the Los Angeles basin, there are so many things we could be doing much more directly and easily than trying to reduce CO2 [carbon dioxide] emissions. https://www.thefp.com/p/climate-change-did-not-cause-the-la-fires-steve-koonin

They won’t be denied a visa. When did you schedule the interview date?
