  1. I130s go through 3 stages, USCIS, NVC, then consulate. To request an expedite you have to send it to the location that currently has the petition, in your case USCIS. At @powerpuff stated, the consulate has no authority over USCIS, but you can send an expedite request to USCIS.
  2. Assuming you are applying for a B2, so you will need to disclose any arrests or detainments on the DS160. It could have an impact, hard to say for sure. Good Luck!
  3. Here is the Almaty thread with recent experiences. Good Luck!
  4. That is an IR5 (IR stands for immediate relative), and that visa class is not numerically limited, so the visa bulletin does not apply. Good Luck!
  5. You should be fine with just the I485 filing. As to the address change, the beneficiary should file an AR-11. Good Luck! Note, the wording is wrong below, it should say from "Consular Processing to Adjustment of Status" in the first sentence. If you are going the other way you would need to file an I824. Change from Consular Processing to Adjustment of Status For transferring a file from Adjustment of Status to Consular Processing, you only need to file Form I-485 noting the change with USCIS. USCIS will send a letter requesting confirmation of Adjustment of Status. The Consular Processing will be cancelled and the file transferred from the NVC to the USCIS Service Center adjudicating the application. This will add several extra months to the actual processing time. https://www.path2usa.com/green-card/adjustment-of-status-vs-consular-processing
  6. There is always an interview for the N400 regardless if an I751 is pending or has been approved. Aside from taking the civics test, the IO will also evaluate English proficiency, and review the N400 form. Now in your case you might see the I751 approved prior to the N400 interview without a specific interview, or you might see a combo interview where the I751 is reviewed prior to the N400 (this is what happened for me and my wife). My advice, if you get a notice for the N400 interview and the I751 has not been approved yet, make sure both of you attend even if the notice does not mention the I751. Good Luck!
  7. If you are using transcripts from the IRS you do not need to include W2’s or 1099s as that information is included in the transcripts. You can include your employment letter to show ongoing employment. Good Luck!
  8. Is this what you are looking for? Good Luck! A Form I-551, whether or not expired, presented by a civilian or military employee of the United States Government who was outside the United States pursuant to official orders, or by the spouse or child of such employee who resided abroad while the employee or serviceperson was on overseas duty and who is preceding, accompanying or following to join within 4 months the employee, returning to the United States; or https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-8/chapter-I/subchapter-B/part-211/section-211.1
  9. Not the visa expiration date, but two years less 90 days from when you became a conditional LPR. So if you entered yesterday 10/1/24 becoming an LPR, you will submit the I751 sometime after 7/1/26. Do not submit the I751 early (even one day early, so use a calculator or count the days carefully) as it will be rejected and you will lose the filing fee. Good Luck!
  10. My wife had to redo her medical when we were going through AOS after her K1 entry, and she did it prior to the AOS submission. I would do it now, and avoid the RFE requesting it. Good Luck!
  11. I864. As the primary petitioner, and also using assets, the I864 is your only option. Good Luck!
  12. I would use the name on her passport and put any other names in the other names used section. Good Luck!
  13. This is what I found on the website of the U.S. Embassy in Japan. This applies across the board. It seems your wife met with an overly excited CBP officer. There should be no fines, and it will all go away when her naturalization is finalized. If she encounters this again while she is still an LPR, she should ask to see a CBP supervisor. Good Luck! U.S. government personnel (military and direct-hire civil service employees) and their spouses and minor children who hold Lawful Resident status of the United States may remain outside of the United States for the duration of an official overseas assignment plus four months without losing their resident status. Exceptions exist for family members of military service members. https://jp.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/green-card/maintaining-permanent-resident-status/#:~:text=U.S. government personnel (military and direct-hire civil service, plus four months without losing their resident status.
  14. Yes, the government does not respond to FOI requests in a very efficient manner. Much easier to track this individually than rely on CBP.
  15. OK, so visited a few more this past week, Zion, Bryce, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. First Zion, the main park was a complete zoo even in the middle of the week, but the East side and Kolob Canyon areas were quite nice and not so busy. Bryce was amazing, the reddish hoodoos and rock formations were breathtaking and the hiking was great. The North Rim of GCNP was also quite interesting and beautiful. We hiked a bit down on the North Kaibab trail (about 2000 ft into the canyon), and also drove along the scenic drive which offered some great vantage points. It was definitely much less busy than the South Rim area.
  16. We also tracked my wife's travels on our own via bookings, etc. There may be a government site, but I am not sure how long it takes to get a response. Here is a good resource for this particular issue including how to file an FOI with CBP. Good Luck! https://citizenpath.com/faq/find-travel-records-n-400-application/
  17. Who knows how long it will take for USCIS to move on it, but home visits are extremely rare, so it might be soon. Also, I agree, you may want to consult with a lawyer, as appearances as you described might be negative toward your applications even if explainable. Good Luck!
  18. What is the name of Burger Kings in Australia? I remember seeing those when I was there many years ago. Same signage etc., but different name.
  19. Robby Starbuck is on it. Companies should not be getting into social politics. I was a bit surprised that Toyota corporate in Japan is allowing Toyota America to do what they are doing. It’s time to expose Toyota.
  20. You can tie the I130s together after they are approved and they both reach NVC. After one petition gets there, just wait for the second one to arrive, then submit the required documents for both, and request they be tied together and sent to the consulate together. Good Luck!
  21. She can inform the CO at the interview of any very recent travels since the applications was submitted. Good Luck!
  22. Just curious, who are you petitioning for? If F3, or F4, I can possibly see USCIS simply forgetting.
  23. A year??? Do you have a NOA showing the package was accepted?
  24. As @Boiler stated, you can always bring more evidence to the interview. Additionally, you are just setting up the marriage, I would not expect a joint account set up a few weeks ago to have much activity. Get the package submitted.
