I-864 Rejected for spouse

If you cannot upload it for your FIL’s case, send him a copy of it to take to the interview. -
That is why I was asking if the visa status online was saying "Issued", but in this case the child appears to have been born prior to the issuance of the visa which means the above links do not seem to apply. I guess you need to get an I130 in the system ASAP and request expedites at each stage. Apologies for misleading you, and it is really frustrating that the consulate will not do a DCF for the child given the soon to be immediate need to travel.

Here is the relevant information from the latest CBP Carrier Guide on Page 10. Child born abroad to an accompanying parent after issuance of an immigrant visa to the parent but before the parent’s initial admission as an immigrant may be boarded as long as the child has a passport and birth certificate. https://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/files/assets/documents/2023-Nov/Carrier Information Guide ENGLISH.pdf

I was listening to an overnight show that caters to truckers, and one driving an EV truck was saying they have to charge for an hour to be able to drive another hour. Seems impractical as truckers (cross country) do not generally stop every hour to re-fuel. I still think if anything works for cross country trucking it will be H2, but we are still a long way from building up that infrastructure.

Sure, the companies will just suck up the cost out of the goodness of their hearts. Electrifying trucking in U.S. could cost as much as $1 trillion, burden consumers, study warns Trucking fleets and operators of charging stations, according to the study, will need to invest $620 billion into new charging infrastructure. This includes the chargers, site infrastructure and utility cost service. Trucking operators will also need to invest in on-site charging stations, which the study estimates will cost in total $496 billion. Chargers for heavy-duty trucks, such as semi trucks, will cost $145,000 per vehicle. Medium-duty trucks will cost $54,000 per vehicle. https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/energy/study-electrifying-trucking-us-could-cost-much-1-trillion

Not directly related to Ukraine, so I thought it deserved its own thread. Moscow attack proves Russia — and US — have lost sight of priorities The Islamic State terrorist attack in Moscow is the starkest possible reminder that despite the war in Ukraine, Russia and the West also still have some of the same enemies. What the terrorists — ISIS-K an Afghanistan offshoot of IS took responsibility — did in Moscow, they have done in Paris and Manchester — and will do (and did do, on 9/11) in New York and Washington, if they get the chance. This horror is also a reminder of the fatal results of mutual distrust. It appears that U.S. intelligence warned the Russian government of an impending attack — and President Putin dismissed this as a U.S. “provocation.” In the event that Russian intelligence were to warn the U.S. of a coming terrorist attack, it is only too easy to imagine Washington reacting in the same way. Moreover, the attack should make us think about the degree to which governments and security elites around the world are liable to lose sight of the real interests and safety of their fellow citizens — which it is their first duty to defend. In their obsessive focus on the supposed threat from each other, both the Russian and the U.S. establishments have forgotten this duty. https://responsiblestatecraft.org/moscow-attack-terrorism/

I really don't see the logic behind a prosecutor wanting to put Cohen on the stand. I suppose there are some that will blindly believe him due to their advanced TDS, but it is clear legally that Cohen will do or say anything to attempt to save his own skin. Once privileged legal memos create new credibility crisis for Trump fixer Michael Cohen Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s former fixer, will be a star witness central to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s effort to win a conviction against the former president. But first Cohen will have to address his record of perjury convictions and be confronted by his own words years ago to his own lawyers that exonerated his former boss. Memos reviewed by Just the News show Cohen in 2018 repeatedly insisted to his attorney that he had no incriminating evidence on Trump related to the hush money payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. The contradictions between Cohen’s public statements and claims to his attorney were first reported by Just the News last year, but have fresh relevance in light of new developments in the New York hush money case. https://justthenews.com/government/courts-law/hld-once-privileged-legal-memos-create-new-credibility-crisis-michael-cohen

Marriage Certificate
Dashinka replied to Me and Mrs AsIkh's topic in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
I found this thread with a similar situation. Hopefully it helps. Good Luck! -
Aside from the fact that the completely partisan Jan. 6th Committee put out this narrative, if someone was assaulting an officer they deserve a punishment. Now when this happens to all the masked Antifa, BLM and extreme Leftist “mostly peaceful” protesters, maybe people will have more trust in the government.

Yes, the I130 can be filed online, and he can stay there until you get the visa, but as I said he will need to show his plans relative to setting up domicile in the U.S. as well as find a U.S. based person to file the I864 as a co-sponsor unless he or you or both will continue with your income after coming to the U.S.. He will also have to show as a USC that he is good with the IRS. Good Luck!

Back in 2014 when my now wife arrived on her K1, we got married about two weeks later. After getting our MC, we went to the SSA to apply for her SSN. Even though we had the MC which functions as a legal name change document (our’s does not have a specific section showing the new names which is quite common) she could only get the SSC in her name on her Russian passport (my wife also decided to take my family name). That was fine for us as we wanted it to deal with setting up bank accounts. Anyway, we proceeded with the AOS filling out the forms with her new married name, and once her GC arrived we went back to the SSA and change the name on her SSC. Good Luck!
