Hmm, progress? Don't Let the Door Hit You in the Shamrocks: Irish Prime Minister Varadkar Suddenly Resigns Ireland went to the polls last Friday to vote on a slate of Constitutional amendments that sought to modernise the document, including revising the meaning of family and removing references to women’s importance in domestic life. The polls had been predicting a comfortable victory, but the stench of death began to surround the campaign during the last few weeks. The end result was a historic rejection by around 70 per cent nationally, with only one constituency in the whole country voting Yes on any individual measure. The Irish cultural establishment, spooked by recent upheavals on immigration, will be wondering if this result is as bad as it gets, or if it’s a tremor of something worse to come? The signs are ominous. Government-aligned activist groups have been an essential tool in steering this type of social change in the recent past, yet the reputation of these organisations is perhaps the biggest casualties from this referendum cycle. The National Women’s Council of Ireland was one of the leading organisations pushing for Yes votes but were badly exposed by a damning report in the run-up to the vote, which highlighted their almost total reliance on government funding. https://hotair.com/tree-hugging-sister/2024/03/20/dont-let-the-door-hit-you-in-the-shamrocks-irish-prime-minister-varadkar-suddenly-resigns-n3785066

Sibling visas (F4) are taking 20+ years so you have a long wait for that. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2024/visa-bulletin-for-april-2024.html The spousal visa would be much faster. He will have to show evidence of intent to change his domicile to the US at the time of your interview, and may need to find a joint sponsor for a spousal visa. Has he been filing US taxes? Once you have the visa (which would come after showing his intent to establish domicile and provided the proper financial sponsorship), he will have to enter the US first or at the same time. Here is the guide for filing for a spousal visa. You do not have to do anything about the petition your sister filed as you can have more than one I130 in the system at the same time. Good Luck!

Seems about right. If An Illegal Alien Shoots a Trans Illegal Sexworker, Is It a Crime? Liberals Say No In a cruel irony, the Chicago Sun-Times took umbrage at the facts that the Marshal's service used politically incorrect language and that "right-wing" news outlets reported what the Marshal's service said: “an illegal migrant from Venezuela and an alleged cartel member.” Those are bad words, you know. It's much worse than shooting a person in the groin and legs, putting them in critical condition. You can't make this ####### up. The reporters actually went out of their way to criticize conservatives about their reporting on this case, which, for them, is somehow worse than a repeat felon shooting up Chicago without punishment. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2024/03/19/if-an-illegal-alien-shoots-a-trans-illegal-sexworker-is-it-a-crime-liberals-say-no-n3784964

I am of the opinion to bring everything requested in the interview NOA even if it was all uploaded. Good Luck! -

And yet Biden's DOJ is going after the Gold Star father at Biden's SOTU campaign speech. -
CR1 221g
Dashinka replied to Joyceee's topic in Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)
Typically, a blue 221g means the consulate is requesting more information. Are they asking for a different co-sponsor? -
This is interesting, and somewhat conflicting information. I wonder if this only applies if the mother is the intending immigrant. Reading 8CFR 221.1 it doesn't seem to apply, but based on your response from the consulate, it seems they will rush a visa for the newborn. When is the appointment? Honestly, if the consulate is willing to do this despite what shows on their website or in the CBP carrier guide, it might be the cleanest option as all the other options were already discussed. Good Luck!

So she was denied entry twice, once on ESTA and once with a B2? Honestly, if that is the case, I do not see much hope for ESTA or another B2. Good Luck! Sounds like this was already tried. About a year ago was when she was denied entry on tourist visa. CBP concluded she was traveling with the intention of adjusting status. She then flew back to Japan. Passport writes “application for admission withdrawn” & “B1/B2 revoked”.

It is interesting how different offices or different IO's handle the combo interview. In our case we were in the same situation, but did not receive any notice of a combo interview. Regardless, I went with my wife for her N400 interview, and when the IO came out to get her, she requested that I also come back for an I751 interview. That interview lasted about 5 minutes where we verified the I751 form, added a more recent tax filing transcript, and then I was escorted back to the waiting area before the IO conducted my wife's N400 interview.

Filng for GC Renewal While Waiting for N-400 Decsion?
Dashinka replied to DD2012's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
Yes, those times are certainly variable. Detroit lists 8 months, and as I mentioned earlier my cousins did it in about 4. Regardless, I would not worry about filing an I90, rather focus on you eventual upcoming N400 interview. Good Luck! -

If I recall correctly, the N400 NOA does not extend the GC. -
Filng for GC Renewal While Waiting for N-400 Decsion?
Dashinka replied to DD2012's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
USCIS processing times for Tampa is about 7.5 months. I would not file an I90 until right before your GC is going to expire since you filed the N400 in December. Hopefully you will not need the I90 come August. Good Luck! https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ -
Filng for GC Renewal While Waiting for N-400 Decsion?
Dashinka replied to DD2012's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
A few more details are needed here. Do you have a 10yr GC? When does it expire? Which local office will be handling your N400. My cousins recently naturalized through the Detroit office, filed November 2023, biometrics mid-December, interviews early February (2024), oath late February. Many offices are prioritizing N400s so they can move fast. -
Great piece, loved this part. The Left/Dems/AntiTrump factions are really getting frustrated. Their Superman Jack Smith is failing. Fani is hopelessly damaged, and she has no hope of rushing any case to a courtroom (heard the story of another RICO case in GA that has taken over a year to seat a jury, apologies, no reference, and could be hearsay). Of course in NY, they are throwing out the Constitution with respect to Due Process (5th and 14th Amendments), I wonder if NY will require someone sentenced to death to die first before they can appeal, and the 8th Amendment. We shall see, but as with any cornered animal, I expect the Left/Dems/Never Trumpers to get more desperate considering they have to rely on Old Corrupt Petulant Joe Biden. Let's Go Brandon! Americans are turned off watching “people in positions of great power and responsibility, in the midst of a campaign, would use the justice system to ‘curb’ one of the two major presidential candidates. They might find it outrageous that those people, a coalition of elected Democrats, Biden administration appointees, Democratic Party activists, and career lawfare specialists, are in fact desperately pushing the system to work faster to win verdicts by Election Day.” Your strategy is backfiring. No American election has featured this much meddling by the judicial system, and this much naked partisanship from the Justice Department and its proxy, the state of New York. It does not sit well with the American sense of fair play. You blew it. You threw it all against the wall and nothing stuck.

One of the other negatives of LFP cells is they operate very poorly in cold weather. I have seen a couple of studies of China battery packs, and in some they use a combination of LFP and NMC batteries to overcome the cold weather issues. Also, LFP batteries will burn, they just burn at a lower temperature (something like 600C as opposed to 1000C+). That being said, there is a big movement toward LFP cells across the industry with either a sacrifice of range for weight, or the other way around,

Filng for GC Renewal While Waiting for N-400 Decsion?
Dashinka replied to DD2012's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
My only addition is that when you have your interview, the IO will allow you to update your travel history since filing. Assuming you are not close to the limit, and have fulfilled or can accommodate your biometrics appointment you will be fine. Good Luck! -
There is no sponsorship for a B2/tourist visa. You can help your sister with money for the trip (transferring funds to her bank account), and to fill out the application (DS-160), but beyond that, it is her application and will rely on her ties to her home country. Good Luck!

You are right, it is not obvious, but rather intuitive with both an ROC and N400 pending. That being said, it is possible that even with both pending, the IO may not even have the I751 package available, and may not require your wife there at all. It is a tough conundrum, but I tend to err on the side of caution, and maybe buy your wife some flowers in case the IO doesn't deal with the I751 and your wife feels like she wasted her time. Good Luck!
