It is difficult to advice without knowing who you have petitioned for.
    Couple of options:
    - train one of your employees to fill in for you, or hire an assistant manager.
    - Get your family to apply for tourist visas.
    - meet your family in a nearby country such as Mexico where you can go for the weekend and it is easier for them to get a visa.

There is no requirement that you visit your family, if you choose to the loss is self inflicted and not a reason to expediate

Harpa said it perfectly. You shot yourself in the foot already because you DID meet your fiancee before, just not within the last 2 years. And yet you want to claim it's against a religious custom when it's not. You met her before so you can meet her again under the same circumstances, just make sure you collect evidence of this new meeting. Laziness or lack of funds to travel is no excuse, which are the more likely reasons why you didn't meet the requirements.
You'd better hope they don't consider your 2 year meeting requirement waiver claim as fraudulent. When you make claims like a betrothed Muslim couple cannot meet each other prior to marriage, you are, in fact, LYING.
The system worked the way it is supposed to, in your case.

You don't have to date and you don't have to get a hotel room. I really hate it when people try to cry cultural foul and exaggerate the requirements to suit their way. Hotel rooms are in no way a requirement.
You already shot yourself in the foot because you said you met before, just not in the last 2 years. So it was okay for you to meet then, it is okay for you to meet now. You must see eachother in person in the last 2 years before filing. That is to prevent people petitioning for childhood friends and mail order brides.

It's understandable that you're under stress (we've all been there), and it's not fun. However, anyone who's been on VisaJourney for more than 5 minutes knows that Ryan H's immigration information and his motivations are beyond reproach.

It would be most appropriate to respect the VJ members, who have more experience and knowledge in this visa journey even though you might think you have ALL the facts right which might not make sense to those who are more experienced. I have not heard of what you are saying either.
USCIS approves petitions doesn't give visas. Petitions then are sent to NVC for further processing. Once the petition is completed then it's forwarded to Nigeria or any country in question. The visa is ready to be issued but the CO has the final say if he does or doesn't give out the visa to the spouse or the fiance.
If you got a visa at the USCIS level? then why go through the interview process? I believe no one is trying to bring you down, it is just that this VJ can be difficult and confusing. We all have been there and done that. It is very important to keep your cool and open mind for we are here to help not make it more difficult or negative. But you have to understand that a valid point is being made here.
Best of luck to you and please keep in mind we are here to help and not judge. God bless you too! Good luck!

I really don't care if you believe me or not; it doesn't make what I said any less true. I've seen it posted many times over on VJ how USCIS gives out inaccurate information over the phone; plus I've taken the time to look through all applicable laws. I also correct inaccurate information for the benefit of others who may be reading this forum.

USCIS doesn't issue visas, the task of adjudicating an actual visa application and deciding on whether or not to issue a visa is the exclusive purview of the State Department's Bureau of Consular Affairs (i.e. a Consular Officer at an Embassy or Consulate). Since you stated your information came from an agency that does not issue visas to begin with, I stand by my original statement.

The statement I put in bold is impossible at this time because an interview at the Consulate has not yet occurred.

There is also nothing private when it comes to immigration! They are nosey ones for sure and can and have asked all kinds of personal things before!
Once you choose an immigration route you open yourself up to their scrutiny.

it is against TOS to solicit a joint sponsor here on VJ. The CO won;t grant a visitor visa based on sympathy, they don;t care if you are separated, they just care that you have immigrant intent if you travel here, they have to take emotions out of the equation and stick to the law

If ever USCIS were to be suspicious, I would think a third marriage in three years would probably set off alarms. Even if it doesn't require a waiver.

    1. You can't 2. You might not be able to, not entirely anyway. You need to hire and attorney, file for divorce and at the same time file for sole physical custody. I would also file an Order of Protection because she has already been shown to be violent.
I would tell your attorney about the police reports which can help with your petition for sole physical custody, and I would also ask CPS for a report (if they will).
I would also ensure she does NOT get the child's passports, and have the passports flagged just in case. Let your attorney know of her intent to leave the country and her statements she wouldn't without the child... that you fear international child abduction.
    Good luck!

MedRoni reacted to Laurka in It's not meant to be rude. Just a general observation.
I'm not starting this topic to offend anybody or to start a beef just for the beef sake. After several months of being on this very helpful forum (it's a life saver in many cases! ), I have this general observation that people do not even bother to read instructions and guides. It seems they don't even bother to use a search engine to look for answers to their questions, but just bluntly create a new topic to ask their question that has been asked 3 to 5 times the very same day. Sometimes there are several topics one under the other(s) about the same thing. It makes the forum bigger and bigger mess every day.
I know this process is long, exhausting and above all confusing at many points. It really is and also has been for me. I always try to help whenever I'm logged in and I'm able to help (when I know how), because this is the main purpose of the forum -- to help and support each other. But even earlier today I read posts in a topic from more experienced forum members that the question about Texas lockobx and Texas Sevice Center comes up way too often and perhaps should be pinned somewhere to be visible. When I browse through the K1 forum, I see more and more replies that are only like "Read the guides" or "Follow this link", because these are basic questions!
It's all there in the Guides, in the Downloads, on the Visa FAQs etc. My plead for new users especially is to first research and read, and then if your question/issue is still not answered or it's very specific to formulate a question on the forum.
I wish you all a good day and above all as smooth visa journey as possible!

Guys, I don't know why you hire lawyers for the CR-1. If your marriage and documents are legit, you have no felony; then file the CR-1 yourself and be patient. No lawyer can do sh*t. Lawyers are out there to rip innocent people. Dhazzel, if I were you I will fire even the RapidVisa consultant and do this myself.
Come to visa journey and ask for advise. You will certainly get the answers you need here and the procedures on getting a CR-1. Quit wasting you money on crooks out there.

Sorry, but I'm not buying this story. Here's why...
A young, naive woman from a poor country meets this American through her pastor and instantly falls madly in love with him. Presumably, he is much older than her, and promises her the world, and she decides to leave her life and family behind to move to the US. She admitted that she wasn't aware of how much paperwork was needed to become legal (green card). She (and possibly her family) figured that she could move here with some old guy and become legal quickly. She wanted a green card and he wanted a live-in servant and sex slave who he could control fully. When it didn't go as planned, he refused to follow through with the adjustment of status process and she started to panic. Notice, with her being young, naive, and not having any family or friends here, the normal first instinct would be go back to her home country to be with family and friends. But her first reaction is how can I adjust by myself, going as far as lying to CIS to try and get a green card. And now she got caught in a lie and now is scrambling to file a WAVA case (which are 95% fraud cases IMO) to be able to stay. But she did give us a reason for not wanting to go back. Her family's house was destroyed in a storm? So where is her family living if there's no house?
I have seen these type of stories from women in Central and South America too. Or maybe I'm just a cynic.

So when you sent your request in your petition was at desk A . They stopped your petition to look at your request, all the other petitions continued on. They looked and your file and denied to expediat your petition and returned it to desk A, The rest of the petitions you were with are at C but you are now at A still. This is the penalty for filing a expediate that doesn't meet the criteria.
