Reading this story, breaks my heart, especially being married to a Filipino, and having such a good marriage.
How did he treat you when you two met face to face?
How did he describe your life when your K-1 was approved?
Was it all lies....,..,"smoke and mirrors" not filled promises.
See if you can go to a friend, somewhere, to get on your feet, get a job, file for divorce, and pursue your citizenship, YOU deserve it!
Do not be ashamed, you have done nothing wrong, be "strong" and fight back, as if you want to be in the USA, then YOU deserve it.

I totally disagree with several of our posters, as I was the "best man" at my best friends wedding this past Saturday.
He was married to a gal from the Phils., July 2012. She messed around on him, he caught her, she signed documents in the attorneys office, admitting to adultery, etc. He divorced her about one year later.
He met another gal from the Phils., went to see her, and they filed another K-1, it was approved in less than 30 days. (Dec. 2014) But, after the NOA 2, due to police back ground check from Japan, where she had stayed with her sister for more than 6 months, it was July 12 of this year until she entered the USA. It was a long painful wait.
But, the time frame would have been without the Japan police clearance, he would have been "through the K-1 process" 2 times, and married within about a 3 year period.,,...,and not one question was asked about two K-1's within 3 years that was over and done! He got a fine lady this time.,.,I knew her from the Phils., as I spent 2 years there, and knew her and her family.

Something important, many people forget is the written letters of intent to marry, within the dates of the I-94.
I also hand wrote a description, of the way we met, and the places we traveled, and it was complimented, by the CO at my wife's interview. It was 4 pages long, and hand written.
I know that is not required, but I am Mr. "overkill" sometimes, as I will always give you more infor., than you ask for.
Also, the first thing the CO asked my wife for was.,.,.,..,"do you have any pictures???"
Depends on the country, different CO's ask for different things.
You seem really "on top of things" and taking this and being ready when the time comes, so you can go over it many times, and refine if you need to.

It indeed seems every country is different, and different officers ask for different things.
In Manila, The Phils., my wife was asked.,.,,..,for.,. ""do you have any pictures?"" "Explain them."
That was it.,.,approved.

This is a very sad story, I hope it is just a mix-up of some kind, and you can get into the embassy, and get it right.
Please let us know, you have been so wronged.

To me this is a "husband and wife problem"..,.,.,and a minor problem of 'immigration' as you have not stated your wife's views on what the MIL is saying or doing.
Until that is known, how could the problem be properly addressed?

I flew to Philippines, and brought my "queen" back with me.,.,.,.it is a wonderful feeling!

I just hope you can get your dates changed for the event in Mexico, or at least a refund. Then schedule much later.,.,.,as you just never know what delays that could come with the AOS
application
which most times goes very smooth, and sometimes, there are delays, and rfe's.
People on this site just believe that when making plans like this, the person should have their visa, AP card, or what ever, in hand, before making any type of big plans.
For your sake I do hope things work out for you, and maybe the "venues" you will use in Mexico can be set to a much later date.

I do not know what country you speak of, but for us, we waited 2 weeks, then put the telephone on "speed dial" and spent many hours getting to talk to them.
Finally we got through, and got her case number and all specifics. was told the file was sent to embassy that day.

Well to me, this is a huge red flag, for your relationship, for such words to be spoken.
Just be careful, and as others have said on this site, I would not sign nothing!

I feel so bad for all you folks hung up at NVC. I read some horrifying stories, it is such a shame.
I have no idea what has happened since early 2013, but my wife is Filipino, and there was no expedite but we had to endure 186 days at Vermont Service Center, and after it went over 180 days, they had to "answer to me why they were over the projected 180 limit" which was a great delight to me, listening to a Tier 2 rep., squirm.,.,.,., we had our NOA 2 a couple of days later.
But, I do not mean to infringe on someone else's thread, but this benefits all of us, "Why was me and my wife at NVC for less than 2 days.,.,.,.,.and I read all these problems of people getting through there.,.,..,.,just what has happened since early 2013 to now.
Most of the bad stuff I read here is about NVC, even more than the interview.
I feel really bad for you guys.

I am sure it was a long hard journey, as was ours, but it is oh so worth it in the end.

First of all, Please do not make the mistake me and my wife made.
We waited ""until AFTER" we were married to apply for SSN, what a huge mistake.
The I-94 has your maiden name, on it, use this to apply for SSN, then get married, go back for a name change after marriage, and file for AOS. Social Security will not recognize your married name, only the name on the I-94. (I-485, EAD/AP combo card, 2 year GC)
It took us 5 trips to SS office to get it straight, and a specialist to come in from another office.
