enough evidence?

Hey all. I have a pretty good understanding of what kinds of evidence is needed to prove we have met within the last two years - I last left her in August. I'm a little nervous that we may not have enough. If you don't mind, I'd like opinions on whether or not you think so.

  • Bank statements with transaction from the same store.

Pure and simple. I bought something with my card, she was next in line and bought something with hers. Shows the city and store name in both our accounts.

  • Proof of a date we had together

We have the receipt showing two people clearly ate together, a picture of us at the table with our desserts, and her same bank statement from above showing she paid for the meal at that restaurant.

  • My passport stamp & return boarding passes

These confirm I was in the UK when I claimed.

  • Photos together

Most of these are us together from this last trip. I do have some from when she visited me a year ago.

I am probably just overly anxious but I appreciate any peace of mind that you all could bring. Thank you!

You have enough evidence to have peace of mind. In addition I would add any hotel receipts, but it probably isn't necessary.

I think you have enough evidence.

On my immigration things (photocopy of receipts, etc) I always write in the blank space in red Sharpie exactly what I want them to notice. And make a mark by the line item...

"John made purchase in BestBuy Atlanta Sept 24, 2015"

"Mary made purchase in BestBuy Atlanta Sept 24, 2015"

Photocopy dinner receipt and photo on same page. Red dot by date.

"John and Mary dining out Sept 24, 2015 in London."

Followed by another copy of the bank statement marking dinner line item and

"Bank transaction showing dinner in London Sept 24, 2015"

Connecting the dots for them with noticeable red writing was always my method of attack.

Thank you so much. Writing in the margins is a good idea, as well.

Can I just say I really like the way you respond. So many times I have given lengthy answers to questions that took a lot of my time, and then....nothing. No response makes me wonder if they even saw it or if I wasted my time. I like you :luv:

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

You sound in pretty good shape.

As another poster said, if you had a few more receipts, such as hotel you stayed in, it would go nice with what you have.

Nice job.

Nice job.

I notice that members from the Philippines always say hotel receipts. The meeting "dance" seems to include taking the woman to some fancy resort. But UK people more often stay in the home of the other when they visit back and forth so have no hotel.

Spooky timing Nich-Nick. I was just about to hop on and say the same. I stayed with my future in-laws, except for when we went to Blackpool. Even then, Mum pooled our money to pay for the rooms so I don't have any of that documentation.

Mr. Nick-Nick,

When you can stay at a nice resort for 25.00 a night, when visiting the Philippines, some Americans prefer, "alone time" with their potential fiances'.

I understand that is the custom. Not knocking it in the least. Brits seem to go for free accommodations so don't often use hotel receipts as evidence as was suggested to the OP.
