AF-Wife got a reaction from Dana-Mića in Husband doesn't want to file papers
No, the problem is your senseless judging and random comments. You are sitting in the glasshouse - throwing stones. Not advisable. There are reasons, why she doesn't wanna leave her kid alone with her husband! She doesn't need to explain herself to you. If you would read everything again why HE DID TO HER, that doesn't speak for a good moral person!!!

Congrats your parents are USC. Your comment above was disrespectful to most of us here. I am certain you would think different if you're parents wouldnt be 'USC', like you are something better. The MOST of the marriage you read about on here are NOT because of immigration purposes. It's because we found our soulmates and wanna be with them.

AF-Wife got a reaction from Ebunoluwa in Help! Im german and I would like to go along with my bovfriend to the US.
No need to get rude. She just started looking into it and exploring her options. It's not like this is going on forever and ever and ever and she doesn't understand it. Like I said she is just weighting her options plus she isn't familiar with VJ or the discussions that we have on here. She's new!!!
US citizenship is required anyways if you wanna take a job on base as a civilian.

Have you read what kind of man that father is? I wouldn't wanna leave him alone with anybody after what he's been putting his wife through!

it's NOT about believing her, leave that up to USCIS I really think a moderator needs to step in now! because this whole threat is about believing her story and not helping her!!!

OP mentioned before, that of course the military knows about her, but he husband is telling his commander that they are divorcing. for his CO, there's no reason not to believe him. squadron commanders are very busy with other stuff & wouldn't follow up on the situation. also, even if he would have enrolled her in the DoD system without telling his commander, he wouldn't know about his wife. commanders don't get the information: listen, one of your workers just enrolled his wife. my husbands command didn't know until we told them in person. the military is big. keep that in mind.

AF-Wife got a reaction from Darnell in Moved to the states & can't legally work!
That's completely untrue. It doesn't take 10 to 13 months adjusting here in the US! And also, she doesnt have to wait to work until all her paperwork is donr. Her workpermit, after filing, should arrive within 3 months. And she is LEGALLY allowed to wait here in the US while adjusting her status and waiting on her Greencard.
OP, please don't take this advice from the poster above since it's totally WRONG!

That rule seems to be a lawyer myth and was outed here on VJ multiple times.

Go ahead, get married, file the I-485, I-130, EAD & Advance parole & do NOT leave the country. You should receive your work permission, with what you can get your SSN within 3 months. No need to go through the much longer CR-1 progress in Canada. Adjust here & get this done! Don't listen to a few people here, they are just angry with people who are totally legal to adjust here being with their loved ones & not being away from them. I adjusted from a tourist visa and it took me 2 months to get my GC from the date I send it away, my friend from Canada wasn't sure and did the CR-1 visa 1 year ago and is STILL waiting for her interview. I would waste that much time .... Intent is not a ground to deny AND hard to prove anyways when you had return tickets etc.

Why are you do worried? He threatens to report your husband to USCIS and if he's here legal, than there's nothing to worry about. It sounds a little to dramatic.
Don't bother reporting him to any immigration soure, they won't do anything! They won't stop him at POE and question him about any 'threats' he made to you. It's not like he is a terrorist. There's no need to! Just ignore the texts and if he does show up at your house, then call 911. It was just a simple text, probably out of anger & more likely not a real threat.

AF-Wife got a reaction from Ontarkie in Trouble in unacceptable green card application
You ever thought about it, that maybe shescrewed him over & he wanted to make it work genuinely and had no other choice to live separate in the beginning and maybe still holding on to the thought to make it work? Maybe that's the reason why he didn't wanna leave?!? Judgmental times 10!

AF-Wife got a reaction from BethandBilly in Questions of all sorts! (USC - Military)
PS: I just talked to my husband. He said, that marrying you from Canada won't have an impact on his clearance. But lying or hiding the fact you have a relationship, being engaged & getting married will. He wont pass his clearance, if he lies or hides something.

People are judging here to quickly. Maybe she left for a good reason?!? People indicate she tries to scam him. Maybe she realized she didn't love him? Or maybe he wasn't the same person anymore when she got here. He thinks shes still in the states, WHO CARES? There are multiple plausible reasons.. Who knows .... We should judge anybody so fast, but I've seen in sooo many times on VJ.

AF-Wife got a reaction from mrs_gonzo in official name change in passport
Yes. I did that in a couple of days all together. First, the name change, then to get a new passport (takes only 3 days) & the same day I got my passport the 'abmeldebescheinigung'
But you can also just get the last thing and get everything else done in the states at the embassy.
