  1. Did you file online or mail in? On the case status do you have an account so u can see the history not just the most recent update. Case Closed sounds like it was approved and moved to NVC. The email you put on the application for petitioner and beneficiary they should be checking for Case Creation email from NVC? Did no approval letter come to address you put? Moms case sounds like it's outside normal processing so you should be putting in a e-request to find out what's up.
  2. So you are DQ October 2021. Lagos just sent out IL's up to January 28 , 2021. So you still have a wait. This is IR/CR category.
  3. No. That wouldn't be fair. Done in the order received and assigned to specific service center.
  4. Your REG (registration) # is not a green card it's your Alien number. You have to be processed through the POE to get your 551 stamp (Temp green card stamp). It's your Registration number u would put.
  5. Just an FYI you have quite a wait until you even get a interview date here's the wait for Cairo. so you looking at end of 2023. So consider that.
  6. Not really anymore they get sent any time. IN DQ order they get assigned.
  7. You have Nigeria flag up but you say Ghana. I know Lagos has been accepted and approving expedites like crazy in the last 4 weeks. Sorry to hear about Ghana,. Every embassy has their own guidelines. Ghana is so behind they probably focusing on that.
  8. August 2020 **just got an update September 2020 DQ got IL for interview in August.**
  9. Yes petitioners divorce decree all pages like you dd at USCIS is required. Upload in the petitioner section since it's the petitioners. No BC, Passport is not needed for Petitioner.
  10. So have you been filing US taxes though these last 3 years? On the I-864 what did you put for your 2022 current income and 2021, 2020 and 2019. Those fields should be %0 and a statement this is foreign income. If you didn't file you also need to state why you didn't file taxes. If you were required you will have to file before you go any further. Matters not you have a joint sponsor you are the petitioner and things are required from you.
  11. Evidence of income is pay stubs , bank deposits and Employment letters. Not the I-864.
  12. IR/CR - last I saw was January 2021. Some in February but those were IR2 with parent with earlier DQ date. Saw some F2A also with May 2020 and August 2020 dates also.
  13. Well more IL's (Interview Letter)went out today for Lagos Jan 15, 2021 is where have stopped. Sp you are still look at a few more months. The current rate for Lagos is 17 months from DQ.
  14. Don't know anyone waiting for IR5. Seems their focus right now is spouse and children under 21. More IL's went out today they are now in 2nd week of January.
  15. Just know calendar is now in May 24, 2024.
  16. I would be sending notification soon as I got interview to let them know u are parent and DQ's your full name and Case# your child's and ask for your case to be brought to the embassy.
  17. So you are applying for Visitor Visa from Nigeria. Did you pay the Visa fee at GT Bank? If you did you would have gotten a receipt#. Payment can;t be done from US? So who paid?
  18. Since COVID there's no set time. Like today Nigeria set out IL's. They haven;t sent out interviews for last 2 months. So it's whenever Like @Jeanne Adil said.
  19. At NVC you 1. Pay fees 2. Complete DS-260 3. Upload Financials and Beneficiaries documents Then you wait the about 10 to 12 weeks for review. Once all is accepted you are DQ'd (Documentarily Qualified) and put in your countries interview queue. Depending on backlog that could be awhile.
  20. Thank you for saying this. Some people don't get it and bring so much things to interview that is like 15 minutes and they really think a CO is going to read through a million ages of things. But uploading at USCIS and Side-loading it goes before you weeks in advance.. This is how the CO prepares for the interview Why wouldn't someone load up with valid crucial evidence. I don;t get people telling folks its a waste when it's not. At least for West Africa I surely can attest to all those embassies it;s a fat side-load. LOrd yes.
  21. Please don;t tell that to someone going through Lagos. e are not like every other embassy and every embassy is not created equally. Whatever you want in the CO's hands at interview needs to be uploaded. Period. Bringing binders full of stuff at interview in most cases is a waste uploading so it goes there before you is vital to success.
  22. You can if you want. Like they said they had some updated events since they filed. That's what sideloading is for.
  23. So exactly what happened at interview? were you asked to submit documents or given a 221g form? Were you told you were approved?
