Has anyone else got an email to remind you about your visa appointment but it has a different date than the previous one? Ours says may 17th but when we signed up and paid for our interview it said may 21st. We just checked the website and it still says may 21st. We aren't sure what to do right now. We already have our hotel and train booked and time off work for the 21st.

Hi all! The wife and I are getting close to the end of this process and I am curious about something that maybe you folks can share some light on. We have a PD of August 2019 and we DQ'd on October 7th 2020. From what I can see on the spreadsheet, this means we should be getting our interview soon! My question is this: are interview letters going out today (May 7th) and if so, what time will they go out and what dates will they cover? I estimate that we should be receiving our IL either this month or next month, but if I have my wires crossed please let me know! Really grateful to have this forum here, I've been a lurker up until now and it's been a source of such amazing information and camaraderie through this stressful process.

Has anyone mailed documents recently to the Montreal Consulate's US mailing address: PO Box 847 Champlain, NY 12919-0847 Just want to confirm that it's still valid as I don't see it consistently listed in their contact us info.

Hi guys, I am Canadian and am looking to file my taxes this year. I noticed that married filing jointly will be very expensive for me and my husband. We owe a lot of money that way. Our accountant advised us saying that we can file married but separately and that I (the beneficiary) don t need to file a tax return since I m a resident of Canada and can use the treaty to claim non residency in the united states. The issue is I have been here since March and to me ... I d be easily a resident of Canada. Has anyone been able to solve this before?

| How does NEXUS work as a dual Canadian/American? |

I wasn't sure if I should put this in the Canadian or the US Citizen section, sorry if it's in the wrong place. So I have had a NEXUS membership before I ever moved to the US, and it's up for renewal, but this time I decided to renew it with my naturalization certificate as it satisfied two parts of the application with a single entry, but before that I renewed it as a Canadian. They didn't ask for any of my Canadian documents at all on this renewal, and they did not require me to present a US passport to renew, either. How will it be possible for me to use my NEXUS while going to and within Canada? Aren't I supposed to show my Canadian passport when going in, so I am not flagged as a visitor, when I am in fact Canadian, too? Basically I'm just super confused as to how NEXUS works as a dualie with both countries that use it. I know that you can get penalized if used incorrectly (even if accidentally), so I want to avoid that.
