Hey all! I have a few questions about documenting my employment history: - In listing past employers, some of mine have different incorporated names on their W2's than the name of the business where I actually physically worked. Which one should I use for my N-400 -- the name/address I gave to the IRS or the name/address of the physical location?
- Some business I previously worked for have changed their name -- should I put down their old name (matching my previous tax filings) or their new name?
- There was a period in 2020 where I was transitioning from being fully unemployed to working for myself and continued filing for partial unemployment benefits -- I'm wondering if anyone else has accounted for time "partially unemployed" on their N-400? Currently my application says that my period of "unemployment" ended when I began working for myself -- should I extend my record of unemployment until whenever I actually got off unemployment benefits?
Thank you!

Hello everyone, i am in a really hard situation. We applied for i130(cr1 spouse visa) 9 months ago but cause of our lawyer's ignorance we will get deny. My husband cant be my sponsor since he has a crime background, the lawyer said its okay they only check for the beneficiary...But they check for both of us. So my question is, while cr1 pending or denied Can i still get the green card if i win the lottery? Thanks for your time.

Hello, I had my K-1 visa interview in Montreal on August 9th, 2022 and left with a 221g. I finally got the docs required and send it in via courier and the tracking number shows it was delivered on Thursday Nov 3rd. CEAC still shows as Refused with no updates since August. I'm wondering what a realistic (and recent) idea on a timeframe would be for a decision to be made. Wondering if I ll be able to be with my fianc in the USA for Christmas or if we should make alternate plans. Our son s 2nd birthday is earlier in Dec as well. I was so hoping we could all be together by then as well but that s probably just wishful thinking. Any insight would be helpful!

Hi! I m about to apply to renew my green card for the first time and in the last ten years we have moved many times and I can t find my old paperwork! These are the two questions I m not sure which answers to put in. I interviewed in Montreal for my K1 visa, moved to Maine, filed in Portland, Maine as my local office and my paperwork was sent to the Vermont Service Center. Which of these places would I put in these two spots? I m sorry this is such is stupid question. I ve checked everywhere and I can t find it anywhere! Any leads would be very appreciated! thanks!

Hey all, I'm about to file my N-400 application but I'm curious to know how other people counted their travel days. The instructions say to count how many days you were outside of the US for over 24 hours -- so, does that mean we don't include "travel days?" (ex. If I took a flight at Noon from New York to Canada, does that "day" count toward my total?) I've made ~10 trips out of the US in the last 5 years, so whether or not I include my travel days will change my total count by 20 days. Thank you!
