DV Lottery of K1 Visa - Can I file for both?
I applied for the DV lottery 2025 and hope to be selected this year. My fiancé and I discovered that there is a fiancé visa for the USA. Do you think if we apply for the K1 visa but are selected for the DV lottery that we can stop the fiancé visa process? What are the timelines and options here :)?

    Confused about steps after marriage
My fiancee arrived last month on K1 fiance visa and we got married yesterday. It seems from what I have seen online that I made a mistake by not getting SSN prior to marriage? I am going to the SSN office on Monday to gather more information... also worried about employment authorization and travel authorization(s). Thanks for any insights!

Tourist visa cancelled by CBP agent. Can we still get a CR1 or K1 Visa?
Upon my gf's most recent arrival, her tourist visa was cancelled at the airport due to her frequent visits last year and suspicion of working here. She was denied entry and sent back same day. Is a CR1 or K1 visa process an option still? I would appreciate any advice or tips you can provide!

Ok. So when I filled out the application for I 129f, it asked if you have ever had a DUI. Maybe not this exact wording but close. Anyway, in 1978 and 1979 I had 2. This was 46 years ago. I didn't leave this off on purpose. This was something I forgot about. Actually I think I overlooked it. But the application was approved and sent to the NVC, then on to the Embassy. And now it's ready for my fiance to schedule medical and interview. When I realized this I contacted my attorney. I had a FBI background check ran. Nothing. I went to the courthouse to get a record of it. Nothing. I went to the police department and Sheriff department. Nothing. I told the courthouse clerk that I needed records of the case. They searched for two days. Nothing. So they gave me a certified letter stating there's no record of the alleged DUI. This is what it said. The attorney says now send these documents to my fiance along with a letter stating what happened. He said if they bring it up she will have the documents. The police and courthouse clerk said this was so long ago a DUI then was nothing more than a simple traffic offense. They also said I wasn't fingerprinted or the FBI would have a record. I'm terrified this is going to derail our visa. I was young and dumb. I have never been arrested since. What should I do. Thanks for any advice.

Hi everyone, I have a question about filing a K-1 Visa. Recently, my divorce was finalized and legally recongized in the U.S. I have a NOIR ( Notice of intent to revoke) from my 1-130 petition made back in 2019. My ex wife is Vietnamese and current fiance is also the same nationally. Would this cause a problem?

Hello VJ friends! I started my journey on here as a K-1 visa applicant in 2017. Fast forward 2024, I am now a US citizen! Thank y'all for your help. I am writing to ask about the IR2 visa category (child/children of US citizen). My son's IR2 was approved recently and I couldn't be happier. My only concern is how long does it take for the green card to be sent to our US address once he enters the US. Thanks in advance for your help!

N-400 On 3 Year Rule - Marriage Based Question

    Hi,

To qualify for the N-400 marriage based application, my wife needs to meet both conditions or just one?

    - must be married for 3 years

    - must have a green card for 3 years

If she must meet both conditions, we need wait for her green card to reach the 3rd year. In the meantime, I need to file the removal of conditions. As I understand it, it is a long wait. During that wait time, can I also file the N-400? How does that when both I-751 and N-400 applications are running concurrently? No conflicts?

    Thanks.

Based on USCIS filing date calculator, my earliest filing date is 1/27/2025. Can I mail the package out on 1/26/2025 and they receive it by 1/27/2025? I just want to make sure that USCIS uses the received date and not the post mark date.

    Thanks.

2 years late to file I-751
I am two years late in filing my I-751 form. Here’s the situation:
      - We completely overlooked this particular form.
      - After my initial green card expired, we applied for the I-90, which has been in process for two years.
      - With the extension they provided, I was able to travel and receive my driver's license.
      - In April this year, I filed for the N-400.
      - During this entire time, I received no communication from USCIS regarding missing documentation.
      - Today, at my naturalization interview, I learned I was supposed to file the I-751.
      - After some back and forth with the officer, he still conducted my interview. He mentioned that since I am married and have children, I should not have a problem, and he asked me to submit an affidavit of explanation plus supporting documents.
      - Later today, I received a letter in my portal asking for "missing documents," specifically the I-751. They gave me four days to provide evidence of the I-751 acceptance or processing status.
I am unsure of what to do. Please help and advise.

Notified on the USCIS website that my I-130 was approved and sent to the NVC on 27 May 2024. I am now researching what is next. 1. Call and verify my packet was received. 2. 2-3 weeks later call to see if a case number was assigned.  3. Begin preparing all documents needes. ie: original copy of wife birth certificate, original copy of marriage certificate and proof of support I-864 and any other documents needed.

I intend to apply for US citizenship. I'm a permanent resident here since October 2020. I visited my home country for 7 months from 29th February until September 30th, 2023 i.e. more than 7 months. I would like to know as to when am I eligible to apply? Whether I needed to prove reasons as to why I was outside the USA for more than 6 months?
