Consulate Review: Argentina
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 24, 2023
Embassy Review : I had scheduled my appointment at 13.30 hours for k1 and k2 but few days before it they moved it to 9.45 am. I entered the Embassy at 9:40 AM and was out around 11:10. There were a lot of people at the embassy doing tourist visa but I didn't have to wait in line. There were 5 people before me for immigrant visas (and everyone got approved!!!) .

I was called first on window 6 where a lady asked me for our passports , original birth certificates and original divorce decree. They took our fingerprints and tell us to wait to be called again.
The interview was in window 5 which is actually a private separate window in a very small room with door. The consul was very gently and super nice. He asked me:
- who was the petitioner,
- how did we meet,
- if my fiancé speaks Spanish, if I speak English,
- when it was the last time I saw him,
- previous marriages,
- what do we do,
- where does my boyfriend live and with who if anyone,
- if he ever traveled to Argentina,
then the consul asked my 17 years old kid if she ever traveled to USA.

After that he asked me if I have a tourist visa and told me he needs to cancel it because it is still valid. He said that everything looks fine for him but they still did not get my medicals from the Dra Grillo so as soon as the Dra send it to them they will approve my visa and send it to me (I chose DHL courier). One week ago another girl had the same issue: she was approved at the interview but the Dra didn't send the medical on time so if you do your medical with her please message her before your interview to be sure that she will deliver the medical on time.
Rating : Very Good

Thank you! I'm member of a whatsapp group for Argentina people who is doing the K1 and they share very useful information there. The admin of the group is already living in USA and no one is trying to sell any services to other, is just to share information. Let me know if she wants to join us :)

Hello Nahiara, I just got an email notice of your NOA2, so congratulations! I am the Argentine born US Citizen petitioner for Luisa (see our profile). Her NOA2 took a lot longer but was approved a month ago and we are currently both in Argentina waiting until her visa is granted. Hopefully the NVC stage will go more quickly for all of us here. We would be interested in joining your WhatsApp group. Muchos Saludos!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
